The house
Would you like to enjoy a carefree holiday on a green and spacious private bungalow park in the South of France? Then Our Cottage In Southern France might be the right destination for you. Our Cottage is located near the village of Mejannes-le-Clap in the Gard, close to the border with the Ardèche, in the midst of French nature and well situated in relation to nice towns and beautiful nature.
Our 4-person bungalow with 2 spacious bedrooms is located on the edge of the park with lots of privacy. The bright and cosily furnished living room has a television with Dutch channels and a bookcase filled with books and games. The living room and kitchen have doors to the terrace with stunning views over the Cevennes. The various terraces offer the possibility to enjoy both the sun and shade. There is sufficient garden furniture on the terraces. From the lower terrace you can walk through the gate into the woods towards the Cèze. The bungalow has its own parking space.
In high season, Le Mattas is ideal for families with children; the owners organise various activities for both young and old. In the early and late season, it is the ideal place for people who want to enjoy peace, space and nature.

Our cottage is located in the middle of French nature and is well situated in relation to nice towns, larger cities, beautiful nature and all kinds of places of interest. About 3 km away is the centre of Mejannes-Le-Clap, where there is a supermarket and where there are many lively activities in summer (weekly market, restaurants, music events).
The area around Le Mattas is excellent for (long) walks and challenging mountain bike rides. In the virtually untouched nature, walking routes have been set out along mostly densely vegetated paths. The slightly mountainous garrigues landscape offers beautiful views. Some routes lead past small caves, lakes, dolmens, plateaus overgrown with thyme and lavender and through quiet valleys with a wealth of wild flowers in spring.
All kinds of walking maps are available in Our House. In Méjannes-le-Clap, various walking maps or up-to-date information are also available at the "Office du tourisme".
From Le Mattas you can visit several villages and towns that are definitely worth a visit (think of Uzes, Nimes, Barjac, Goudeargues).
The Gard has a multitude of towns with 17th- and 18th-century character. The French villages and towns in the region have a rich history and this is reflected everywhere. Numerous car-free streets with charming boutiques, medieval houses with old facades, small shady squares with fountains, cafés and restaurants adorn the streetscape.

Activities
The park has a swimming pool (10x20 m and a paddling pool 8x4 m), a sports ground (volleyball, football, basketball, 2 bocce courts, 2 tennis courts) and a youth centre, which you can use.
During the summer months, the owners organise all kinds of activities on the park for young and old (tennis, football and water polo tournaments, fox hunting, wine tasting, weekly music evening).
About 3 km away is the village of Mejannes-Le-Clap, where there is a supermarket and several terraces / eateries.
