The house
With its cosy interior, the l'Olivier gîte is ideal for a romantic break for two. Its private terrace is accessible from the bedroom or living room.
The bedroom has a 160×210 wrought-iron bed.
The living room has a television with TNT reception and two comfortable leather armchairs.
The kitchen includes an induction hob, oven, microwave, Senséo coffee machine, toaster, fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is also a dining table with two chairs.
The bathroom has a washbasin, shower cubicle and WC.
The 25 m2 terrace is fully enclosed. It faces due east, so gets plenty of light in the morning. There is a barbecue, a table with chairs and two armchairs for relaxing.
As the gîte is semi-buried, the temperature inside remains moderate throughout the year. So the gîte is pleasantly cool in summer and easy to heat in winter, thanks to the air-conditioning.

Situated at the crossroads of 3 départements (Lot et Garonne, Lot and Tarn et Garonne) our gîte is part of the Quercy Blanc region in the south-west. This region is often called "Little Tuscany" for its rolling landscape of vineyards, cereal crops and forest.
The picturesque villages, built from the white limestone of the region, are numerous. No fewer than 6 villages in the surrounding area have been awarded the "Most Beautiful Villages in France" label: Tournon d'Agenais, Penne d'Agenais, Pujols, Monflanquin, Villeréal and Lauzerte.
There are also some remarkable sites, such as the châteaux of Bonaguil and Biron and the village of Montcuq in Quercy Blanc.

The south-west, and more particularly the Lot et Garonne, is renowned for its gastronomy: foie gras, truffles, prunes and tourtières are just some of the local products that will make your mouth water!
You can visit the foie gras museum in Frespech, where you can taste and buy a wide range of products.
We have selected a number of local producers, including organic vegetables, free-range black pigs and melons. We'll be delighted to give you our addresses. You'll find them at the many village markets.
In summer, gourmet markets are held regularly in the evenings. You can sample these local products while enjoying a show.
We are located in the Cahors wine production area. Whether you prefer red, white or rosé, you'll find plenty of wineries nearby to choose the beverage that's right for you. Here too, we've selected a few good addresses for you.

Tournon d'Agenais (listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France) is 4 km away, accessible via footpaths.
Possibility of hiking with a llama. 3 different routes to explore, accompanied by a tamed and trained llama! Located 3 km from our gîtes and accessible on foot, the Pechzen llamas will introduce you to this endearing animal!

Further remarks
The nearest supermarkets are around 10 minutes' drive away in Montaigu de Quercy. There is a large shopping area 20 minutes away in the commune of Montayral.
You can hire electrically-assisted bicycles from Toc vélos in Thezac (10 minutes away), or take a walk with a llama from our friends at Pechzen in Masquières (10 minutes on foot).
The Montaigu-de-Quercy market (Saturday mornings) is always a real market with many local producers. On Sundays, you can visit Rocquecor and Montcuq. On Thursday mornings, one of France's biggest markets is held in Monsempron-Libos, and on Fridays, there's a traditional market in Prayssac, in the Lot.

Free access to the heated swimming pool from April to October (weather permitting). The swimming pool is shared between our 3 gîtes (max 14 people), fenced and secured with a cover at night.
