The house
Our gites can be booked for two, four (low season only) or six people The decoration of the gites is homely with a touch of industrial.
Living/dining room
The living/dining room has two sofas and a single bucket seat. The dining area has a dining table and six dining chairs. For hot and cold days, there is an air conditioning unit that cools or heats.
There is a separate toilet.
Kitchen
The kitchen is equipped with hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Also plenty of pans, plates, cutlery, glasses, cups and of course a Senseo machine. From the kitchen you can walk out onto the terrace with a table and six chairs and of course a large parasol. The terrace also has a pull-out screen for your privacy.
Bedrooms
There are 3 spacious bedrooms, one downstairs with an adjacent shower and two upstairs. All bedrooms have a wardrobe, coat rack, bedside tables and bedside lamps.
A total of six box-spring beds are available, a baby cot and high chair can be borrowed on request.
Upstairs bathroom
Upstairs there is a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet, towel radiator and washbasin cabinet.
Beds are all equipped with sheets, pillowcases, duvets, duvet covers. P.p. a large and small bath towel and for the kitchen a towel, tea towel and dish towel. Changeover day for bath towels is on Wednesday and Saturday.
If you book for two people, you have access to the ground floor which is also equipped. The gites have their own front and back entrance.
In summer, the swimming pool, garden and sports field are at your disposal. In winter you can take advantage of the jacuzzi. Parking here is free and there are plenty of spaces available.

Residence La Salamandre is in the middle of the golden triangle of the Tarn and is part of the Kartharen region.
There are many things to do and see here. At 40 minutes from la Salamandre you will find, among others, the beautiful pink city of Toulouse and historic Albi (world heritage Unesco). The picturesque authentic villages Castelnau de Mont Mireille and Bruniquel are excellent for lunch and a nice walk. There is also a market nearby every day and festivals, brocante and flea markets are organised everywhere from May to October. There is also plenty for children to do in the area such as beautiful swimming lakes with climbing courses and water-ski tracks.
Nearby there are five golf courses for beginners and advanced players.

Restaurants, food & wine
Residence La Salamandre is on the route de Saurs, the route that runs through the middle of the vineyards. There are about 30 vineyards around here, where you can taste and buy wine every day for a normal price (on average about 6€ for a bottle). The first weekend of August the Gaillac wine festival takes place, where all the winemakers present their wines and they can all be tasted. The second weekend in November the Gaillac primeur is presented and then there is a party at all the wineries with food and local markets. When it comes to food, this region is also the place to be, although it is typical in this area that all restaurants are open for lunch and often only on Fridays and Saturdays.

Residence La Salamandre is on a mountain biking, cycling and hiking route. , from very flat routes to very hilly/mountainous routes. Nearby are vineyards with delicious wines, horseback riding, golfing, canoeing and of course many beautiful cities such as Albi and Toulouse.

Wat een heerlijke plek om vakantie te vieren. Mart en Marlène maken er echt een feestje van. Heel erg gastvrij en goede zorgen voor de gasten. Wij komen er graag terug.

Prachtige locatie, rustig gelegen naast zonnebloemvelden op het glooiende platteland, maar toch dicht bij leuke dorpjes en mooie steden als Toulouse en Albi.
In de grote, sfeervolle tuin bevinden zich een zwembad (heerlijke watertemperatuur en incl. zwembanden), diverse ligbedden (o.a. een zonne-hemelbed), een trampoline en een voetbal-/badmintonveld.
Aan de inrichting van de gîtes is door het gebruik van diverse kleuren en materialen veel zorg besteed. De bedden liggen heerlijk en zijn opgemaakt bij aankomst en de badhanddoeken kun je 2x per week wisselen. Op de begane grond zorgt de airconditioning voor verkoeling. Ook de wifi is prima. Aan de achterzijde is een terras met een grote tafel, stoelen en een verstelbare parasol en aan de voorzijde is er een knus zitje.
Mart en Marlène hebben deze locatie vol passie opgebouwd en zijn ontzettend gastvrij en lief voor kinderen. Wij voelden ons direct thuis en gaan daarom in 2019 weer terug!
