Le Vent d'Autan is a luxury holiday home with private swimming pool in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (formerly the midi-pyrenées). It is ideal for a relaxing holiday for a large family or for several families together.
Living: very spacious open plan living room with fireplace, large dining table, television corner and French doors to a spacious terrace with a magnificent view of the Gorges du Viaur. On the terrace you will find a wonderful lounge set and dining table.
First floor: There are three bedrooms; 2 double and one twin bedroom. On the landing there is an additional comfortable double sofa bed.
In addition, there is a luxurious family bathroom, with a bath with jaccuzzi, massage shower and toilet.
Kitchen
The kitchen is equipped with induction cooker, a dishwasher, oven, microwave, large fridge and a freezer. There is also a filter coffee machine and a Nespresso machine and milk frother, blender and sandwich maker.
Furthermore, there is an extra bedroom with its own shower and toilet. It has a double bed and a single bed.
The house is equipped with a washing machine, dryer and also a charcoal BBQ (Weber).
There is Wifi and with the available Chromecast you can stream video, music and television from your mobile and tablet to the TV from your own subscriptions.
There is also a Sonos play 5 speaker available to operate via the Sonos or Spotify app.

In the summer season you can enjoy your own private swimming pool of 4 x 9 m and is tiled all around. There are comfortable sun beds and umbrellas.

    Le gite est excellent et bien équipé pour les grands et pour les petits ! Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en famille. Calme et repos sont au rendez-vous. La piscine est géniale, grande et propre. Tout est bien pensé et témoigne du goût raffiné des hôtes. Els est très gentille et disponible. Le cadre est magnifique : rivière, forêt, randonnées... Bref, une petite pépite à conserver dans son carnet d'adresse. Merci pour l'accueil !

    Ondanks het mindere weer in de eerste week van onze vakantie beleefden we een fantastisch verblijf in Le Vent d'Autan.

    Bij onze aankomst stond er een heerlijke verrassing op ons te wachten. Het huis was heerlijk ruim en was werkelijk van alles voorzien. De trampoline, het heerlijke terras met bijhorend uitzicht, de aanwezige spelletjes, smartTV, nespresso apparaat, zalige bedden en natuurlijk het mooie zwembad (met heel wat opblaasbaar speelgoed) vormen slechts enkele troeven van het huis. Ook de heerlijke koeken van de lokale bakker behoorden tot de beste die we ooit al in Frankrijk aten!

    Onze dagen waren steeds goed gevuld. Van kastelen bezoeken (Penne, Najac), tot visjes vangen in de Viaur beneden en in de Bonette in Saint Antonin Noble Val; van dorpjes bezoeken (Cordes sur Ciel, Bruniquel, Caylus, etc.) tot uitstapjes voor de kinderen (zoo les 3 vallées, le jardin des bêtes, etc.)

    We blikken met heel veel enthousiasme terug op een fantastische reis. Bedankt Hermen, Hanneke en Els, de lokale beheerder.

Gaillac
The Gaillac wine region is a 45-minute drive away. The production zone of the A.O.C. Gaillac is on the two banks of the Tarn and also the northern hills in the northwestern part of the Tarn department, northeast of Toulouse. The region includes 4200 hectares of vineyards.
The name Gaillac is derived from the Gauls. Together with Côte Rotie, Gaillac is said to be one of the oldest wine regions in France.
The white wines already received their A.O.C label in 1938; the red and rosé wines in 1970.
You will find a huge range of wines:: red, rosé, white, sparkling and sweet wines.

Activities

Walking and cycling: directly from the house there are unforgettable walks to make, not only along the Viaur River but also along the Tarn. The Gorges du Viaur can be reached directly from the house. The Gorges du Tarn are also easily accessible by car for beautiful walks. Also for cyclists, the area is great: the Tour de France passes by regularly. Mountain bike tours can also be made to your heart's content.
Lac de la Roucarié
Within a fifteen minute drive is a lake where various water sports can be practiced.
Viaduc du Viaur
Less than 5 minutes' drive away is a magnificent viaduct that was built at the end of the 18th century.
Cordes-sur-Ciel
In Cordes you feel like going back to the Middle Ages. The old streets, the beautiful old buildings and the nice shops and terraces make Cordes-sur-Ciel a place that you musn't miss!
Albi
The city of Albi is just half an hour away on the banks of Tarn with pleasant squares, shops, restaurants and cafés. It is labelled as UNESCO World Heritage, and there are many historic sites including the impressive Saint-Cécile Cathedral and the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum. This is also a great place for walks along the banks of the Tarn or boat trips on the Tarn.
Rodez
Rodez is half an hour away and is definitely worth a visit if you like shopping, French delicacies (including macarons) and beautiful old historic buildings.
Cap Découverte amusement park
Within a half hour drive you will find a beautifully landscaped theme park with lots of fun for the family.
Toulouse
Toulouse is an hour's drive. This is the fourth city in France and is definitely worth one or more visits.
Gaillac
True wine lovers can enjoy the delicious wines in Gaillac, available in many places. You can make trips through the vineyards and visit various wineries to taste and buy wine. Every year there is the wine festival in Gaillac in the summer. Three days of fun and wine tasting with over 50 wine producers from the Gaillac.
Millau
The Millau Viaduct is an hour and a half's drive away. This is the highest bridge in the world made by the Eiffage company, which is also known from the Eiffel Tower.
