The house
Recently renovated house full of charm and character. Beamed ceilings, terracotta floor tiles, stone walls etc all add to the feeling of stepping back in time.
With a fully fitted kitchen, dining area with table for up to 6, a cosy reading room and lounge with 2 three seater sofas, there's plenty of room for everyone.
Upstairs you'll find 2 large bedrooms, one with two single beds (90x200cm) and a sofa bed (140x190cm) and in the master bedroom, a superking bed (180x200cm) and a day bed (80x190cm)
The modern showeroom and seperate WC are also on the first floor.
A Tassimo coffee machine, toaster, kettle and all standard kitchen equipment can be found.

We are located in the centre of Montoulies, a small friendly rural hamlet. We live in the agricultural buildings attached to the rear of the gîte. We believe the gîte to be one of the original houses in the hamlet and the barns were only converted around 12 years ago. The private pool is accessed down a passage alongside the gîte. It is not overlooked by neighbours.
There is loads to do in the area, fantastic towns and villages to visit, including Lautrec, Cordes sur ciel, Gaillac, Lavaur, Albi, Toulouse, Castres all within an hour. A little further, Carcassonne is well worth a visit.
As we are in the centre of the hamlet, occasionally tractors are to be heard, donkeys braying, chickens, cockerels, dogs, people! It's not a silent community rather a living hamlet surrounded by sunflower fields, gently undulating hills, views of the black mountains and on clear days, the mighty Pyrenees.

In één woord “geweldig”!
Een prachtig en bovenal schoonhuis in een mooie omgeving waar het ons aan niets heeft ontbroken. Was iets niet aanwezig, werd dit vrijwel direct door Janine en Alison geregeld.
Over Janine en Alison kunnen wij ook niets dan goeds melden. Lieve behulpzame dames met humor.

Restaurants, food & wine
Our nearest shops are around a 10 minute drive to either St Paul Cap de Joux or Puylaurens.
There are some fantastic restaurants to be found locally in Cuq, Puylaurens, Lavaur and further afield.
For wine lovers, head to the vineyards of Gaillac. Most of the domains offer tastings and some, visits to the cave.
Activities
Located in the centre of a small hamlet, you only have to open the door and you can set off on a walk or bike ride. A horse riding stables is close by and the nearest water parks can be found in Lautrec and Castres, around 25 minutes drive.
18 hole Golf is possible around a 20 minute drive.
For lake activities, Lac St Ferréol is around 25 minutes.
A visit to Toulouse to shop, eat, visit the Space centre, museums, Canal du Midi etc is an easy 45 minutes drive.

All sheets, towels, pillows are provided and beds will be made up for your arrival.
We feel the property is most suitable for children over 4 years old. The stairs are quite steep and the pool is 1 metre to 1.60 metres. (Unheated)
A gas BBQ, sun loungers, hammock and outside table and chairs are provided as well as a pool towel per person.
