The house
Welcome to Le Vieux Manoir!
Our 'Quercy Blanc' manoir, dating back to 1649 and listed with the French Ministry of Culture as cultural heritage and one of the oldest properties in the region, is over 5 hectares in size and consists of the main house, a former grange {shed} which has been completely converted into a luxury holiday home in 2016. It is beautifully located in the Tarn and Garonne countryside with 360-degree views of the hills and orchards surrounding the picturesque village of Valeilles and equipped with all amenities. The cottage offers two bedrooms (1 x double box-spring bed and 2 x single box-spring bed which can be made up as a double bed) and a cloakroom/changing room.
There is a spacious bathroom with shower and two washbasins. A spacious hall and a separate toilet. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, four-burner ceramic hob, combi oven, extractor fan and a large fridge with freezer compartment. Further kitchen appliances include a Nespresso machine, contact grill, blender, kitchen scales, etc. so you can indulge in culinary delights.
The house was completely redecorated in 2016, in keeping with the Tarn and Garonne atmosphere. Folding doors from the living room lead out onto the spacious cosy terrace, partly covered, where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a delicious meal at the large outdoor dining table with six chairs during the warm summer evenings.
There is TV with google chromecast so you can watch TV with your TV app, Netflix, etc.

Reviews
Marc Vermoolen from Tubbergen,
BOUNAR Ahmed from VILLEURBANNE,
In één woord "Fantastisch'!
Restaurants, food & wine
A stay on our estate is also the opportunity to taste the delicious local products such as; the Chasselas grape from Moissac, Cassoulet, Foie Gras and all other specialties based on duck.
We are also surrounded by the three wine regions: Cahors, Bergerac and Bordeaux. It is possible to visit the wineries in these regions.
You can also obtain a simple vin du table or one of the above mentioned wine regions at the many wine chateau's.
Every week we organise a wine excursion to Chateau Famaey near the beautiful village of Puy L'Eveque, during which you will be introduced to the world of French wines in both Dutch and French!
We, Sem and Louise, like to share with you our culinary hobby that got out of hand, with which we spoil the present guests with the local regional products.
The meals are composed in consultation with the guests and will vary between 15 and 25 € p.p. Matching wine arrangement from 7,50 € p.p.
An adapted meal can be prepared for children.
Opposite the house is a herb greenhouse which you can always use and fresh fruit can be picked in the orchard!

Valeilles is situated in the beautiful countryside of the Tarn and Garonne, where plains and hills alternate, inviting lovers of hiking and biking. We have hiking trails for you in Montaigu de Quercy, Lauzerte, Bouloc and Bourg de Visa, these villages are within a radius of 30 km. For the children there is in Agen (30 km) the amusement park Walibi Aquitaine and for the little ones Youpiparc in Cahors (50 km). In Montaigu Plage there are numerous water sports such as: flyboarding, renting water scooters, pedal boats and canoes.
For the enthusiastic fishermen among you, we have the current fishing guide with numerous possibilities in the area. You can request your fishing card online in advance.
A tennis court is located in our village Valeilles at walking distance (500 m) and what about a great canoe trip along France's most picturesque villages such as St. Cirque de Popie and St. Antonin Noble le Val which are already more than worth a visit.
Our house is not on the golf course but at less than 20 km distance you can play a serious round at the 18 holes Golf en Countryclub of Villeneuve sur Lot or at the 9 holes Golf des Roucous in Sauveterre (40 km).
WHAT IS THERE TO DO IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD?
In the nearest village Dausse you will find a small supermarket where you can get fresh bread. In July and August there is also the night market on Tuesdays where you can enjoy the products bought at long tables. In the village of Roquecor (6 km) there is a small local market every Sunday morning where you can enjoy a delicious lunch in the only local restaurant on the village square with a view of the Tarn and Garonne.
Furthermore, at a distance of 12 km you will find the village of Montaigu de Quercy. Here you find a boulangerie artisan, an Intermarché, several restaurants, a café tabac and the bio market on Saturday morning where more locals offer their just harvested products for sale.
Apart from the beautiful nature of the Tarn and Garonne, you will also find a wonderful architectural heritage consisting of medieval towns such as: Bruniquel, Caylus, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, Rocamadour, Conques, Saint-Cirq-La Popie, Sarlat - le - Caneda and the art and history city Montauban where the UNESCO World Heritage Abbey is located.
The historic city of Cahors is located at a distance of 40 km. In this city you can spend a lovely day. Cahors offers many cosy restaurants and terraces and has a high shopping rate. In addition, it is definitely worthwhile to make a boat trip on the river Lot.
