The house
Quietly situated, in a residential area south of Perpignan centre, you will find our holiday home with swimming pool. It is a detached house in Provencal style, completely oriented to the south. There is only local traffic in the residential area. Within walking distance you can find a bakery, a grocery shop, a butcher and a fishmonger. Nearby are a Carrefour and shopping centres.
The house
On the ground floor there is a terrace with outdoor bar and barbecue near the private pool, a spacious living room with table and chairs, a sofa, a 4th bedroom with click-clack, with shower room with washbasin cabinet, separate toilet, back kitchen with washing machine. 2 fridges and a freezer and a kitchen with combi-oven and dishwasher. In terms of multimedia, there is Wifi and TV Vlaanderen with Flemish and Dutch channels, Orange for the French channels, Sonos, Chromecast
On the upper floor: 3 bedrooms with air conditioning, (3 x 2 double bed 1.40 meters, 1 bathroom with shower and washbasin cabinet, freestanding toilet, a library with books and DVDs and a treadmill.
The house is suitable for a holiday with up to 8 people.
Weekly rental from Saturday to Saturday during the summer months. Prices from 850 to 1400 euros per week. Cleaning by the tenants is obligatory.
The house is prepared for the tenants with extra corona cleaning and making the beds. For this there is a surcharge of 80 €.
This attractive holiday home is located 8km from the beach and the sea. The beaches in the area are well maintained. Along the beach there are several places to eat. From the holiday home, the beach can also be reached by bike via a cycle path. By car it takes 10 min to reach the sea, 10 min to the historical centre of Perpignan, 40 km to Spain and 50 km to the ski slopes of Les Angles,.....
Because of the central location of the house, it is possible to make numerous (day) trips in this region with a rich Cathar history.
Perpignan is a 14th century city with small and cosy shops. In the summer, there are numerous activities. For example, there is: Jeudis de Perpignan where you will find free evening entertainment on various squares in Perpignan during the summer months. Also the surrounding villages organise lots of activities during the summer. In the newspaper "La Semaine" you can find the agenda of all activities in the region (every Thursday a new newspaper with activities).
In Perpignan you can visit: Palais des Rois de Majorque, Le Castillet, cathedral Saint-Jean, Loge de la mer, Campo Santo,... Perpignan is the capital of the Catalan culture, so the Catalan atmosphere is clearly visible.
Within 1 hour, you are in Spain, where you can have a nice and cheap dinner at the beach. Also in the border area, there are several villages in a medieval style with castles.
Carcassonne: 1 hour drive and you are at the historical place Carcassonne. The "Cité" of Carcassonne is the largest fortress in Europe and more than worth a visit. This city is also on the list of UNESCO.
Ryanair flies from Charleroi 2 to 3 times per week to Perpignan and car rental is possible at the airport.

Wat een heerlijke plek,zeer rustig,huis is meer dan dat we nodig hadden.
Alles wat je kan bedenken zit wel in het huis!

Buitenplaats fabtastisch voor elkaar!met BBQ/open haard!Wij hebben 13 dagen topper gehad zoals het daar vaak is en leven alleen buiten.alles bij de hand,strand,winkels vliegveld!
Zeer goed en duidelijk contact gehad met MARC en ANDRE en verhuurders kunnen een voorbeeld nemen aan hen!Bedankt marc dit is de reden dat wij sparen voor een vakantie en thuis komen met een grote lach op ons gezicht!tot volgend jaar!

Hallo Marc, wir haben eine wunderschöne Zeit in ihrem schönen Haus verbracht. Die Umgebung war sehr ruhig, wir haben schöne Grillabende verbracht. Wir hatten tolles Wetter und konnten jeden Tag den tollen Pool genießen. Einkaufen konnte man ganz in der Nähe. Der Strand in Canet war schnell erreichbar. Andre war auch jederzeit bei allen Fragen erreichbar.Wir waren sehr zufrieden, und vielleicht kommen wir wieder. LG Marion!

Twee prima weken in dit huis doorgebracht. Het is ruim, van alle gemakken voorzien en heel centraal gelegen voor allerlei leuke uitstapjes. Binnen een uur rijden heb je de mogelijkheid om grotten te bezoeken, mooie oude burchten te zien, leuke kustplaatsen te bekijken of te wandelen in de uitlopers van de Pyreneeen. Ook het strand is dichtbij, heerlijk om aan het einde van een dagje toerist zijn naar toe te gaan voor een verfrissende plons.
Het enige nadeel wat ons betreft, als lange Nederlanders, zijn de relatief korte Franse bedden. En ja, die muggen. Het huis heeft gelukkig horren en andere voorzieningen om die beesten buiten te houden.
We raden dit huis van harte aan!

In the mountains of Languedoc you will find several caves. In the caves, it is not difficult to imagine how people must have lived in prehistoric times. In the area, several caves are open to the public. In the museum of Tautavel, you can see a reconstruction of the found Pré-Néanderthal. It is cold in the caves, so it is best to take a vest.
The regional park of the Catalan Pyrenees is a vast area where you can make beautiful walks.
Barcelona and Andorra are a 2-hour drive from the holiday home and are worth a day trip.
The Tourist Office organises several walks at democratic prices. There are also many hiking trails in the area.
If you like fresh mussels and oysters straight from the sea, you can find them in Leucate, 35 km from the holiday home. There you can buy the oysters, mussels and shrimps directly from the breeders. Near Leucate there is the island of the Correggio. Originally, it is the location of a naturalistic village that extends for almost five hectares. It has its own marina and the beach is under surveillance in summer.
You can drive along the coastline from Canet-en-roussillon to Spain. A beautiful route where the different landscapes become visible. You can enjoy good food and different beaches along the entire length of the coastline.
