The house
Sous l 'Acacia is a bright gÎte, with a charming wall 'en pierre' and great views. In the living room you will find a two-seater sofa and 2 armchairs, a dining area with 4 seats and a well-equipped kitchenette. The bedroom has a comfortable box spring of 1.60 x 2.00. Next to it is the bathroom with lovely spacious shower and washbasin with mirror and socket. Also a separate toilet and a mezzanine with 2 single beds, each 80 x 2.00. On the private terrace in front of your gîte are 2 low easy chairs, 4 chairs and a table, as well as a barbecue and a parasol.
Unfortunately, we do not welcome pets.
By the swimming pool (which we also use from time to time) there are 6 sun loungers that complete the relaxation in this place. We open the pool (depending on weather conditions) in May and close it at the beginning of October.

Sous l'Acacia is literally under a beautiful Acacia. Our gîte is situated in the Lot-valley, next to the departments 'Lot et Garonne' and 'Dordogne'. A varied landscape with vineyards, hills with châteaux, forest, great views and rocks with historical caves. The inhabitants of this valley like to talk about their 'micro climate': everything is softer here, less violent temperature differences, less humid than just a few kilometres away.

Wat een geweldige week hebben wij mogen ervaren in jullie gite Sous l,acacia! Door de vele mogelijkheden in de directe omgeving (straal van 35 km) denk aan brocantes, kastelen, marktjes, eetavonden,steden zoals Cahors, wandelmogelijkheden in en om Touzac vloog de tijd letterlijk om.
Allereerst de gite tuin en zwembad wat sfeervol, karakteristiek en mooi gelegen zijn deze.
De gite is helemaal goed voorzien van alle luxe die je je wensen wilt ( zelfs een goed gevulde up to date boekenkast en een map met goede verwijzingen betreffende activiteiten betreffende omgeving ). Een heerlijk bed, een fijne douche, een goed ingerichte praktische keuken en gezellige woonkamer met sterke wifi ontvangst.
De tuin met voldoende schaduwplekken met meer dan voldoende privacy, mooi weids uitzicht, goed zittende tuinstoelen en tafel met parasol en prachtige bomen, planten en zelfs een eekhoorn.
Dan natuurlijk het grote heerlijke zwembad waar we menig baantje in gezwommen hebben fantastisch!
Als laatste het belangrijkste jullie geweldige gastvrijheid met zelfs een uitnodiging voor een drankje samen met hapjes. Ans en Luuk we hebben een geweldige week gehad bij jullie en mogelijk weer tot nog een keer!

We hebben erg genoten van het Franse gevoel bij Ans & Luuk met onze 2 meiden van 14 & 16. De Gite is knus en vooral de tuin en het heerlijke grote zwembad waren een groot succes. Ans zorgde ervoor dat we ons welkom voelde en had leuke en goede tips voor de omgeving. Luuk had de wifi snel gerepareerd!
Het ontbijten & borrelen buiten voor de Gite in de schaduw, kijkend over het weiland was altijd een traktatie.

Restaurants, food & wine
This region is known for its 'canard' (duck), foie gras, walnuts, mushrooms and the delicious, beautiful deep red wine of the Malbec grape. In the area, we can recommend several restaurants that often offer good food for very reasonable prices.
A visit to one or more wine chateaus is also worthwhile, there are many in our neighbourhood.
Activities
In the vicinity of our gÎte, you can enjoy hiking, cycling, fishing, quad biking and horse riding . There are several beautiful chateaus and towns with historical treasures to visit, not to mention the particularly charming local markets and restaurants with delicious regional products. The evening markets (marchés gourmandes, mainly in the months of July and August) where producers prepare regional food and you can choose from a variety of delicious food and drink options, are highly recommended. Choices abound, which is why there is an information folder in your gÎte, in which we have collected the best excursions and places of interest.
A refreshing dip in our swimming pool, after exploring our beautiful surroundings for example, could be a wonderful end to a great day.
