Manoir Issartoux

The Dordogne River valley is famous for its picturesque villages and varied landscape of forests, meadows, hedges, wooded banks and streams.
What could be nicer than exploring this fairy-tale region from your own "petit Chateau"? In our holiday home, you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay. From the breakfast table in the cosy living room you can observe the birds in the forest. In the tower are two cosy bedrooms, each with a lovely double bed. There is a bathroom with shower and toilet. The separate kitchen is fully equipped. In summer, you can make unlimited use of the 9x4 swimming pool.
Crossing the quiet country road, you come to ancient paths, wedged between hedges and hedgerows, which take you past water mills and country houses. You pass through flowering meadows and fairytale hillside forests with springs and streams. At the end of the walk, get fresh bread from the baker who still bakes with a wood-burning oven. If you come in spring, you will find the grounds filled with hundreds of flowering orchids. In summer, the butterflies steal the show. It is lovely to be enchanted by their colours on a lazy afternoon in the flower meadow.
And if you feel like culture, you don't have to go far. Within a radius of just a few kilometres around Issartoux are several of the most beautiful villages that are part of the prestigious list of the "Plus Beaux Villages de France".
