Surroundings
Serignac is a small rural village, which we are just outside. The house is secluded with no immediate neighbours (just fields and woodland), with a huge garden and orchard surrounding the house.
The centre of the village is 2 km away, where there is a small shop, a restaurant, and a tennis court and pingpong table for the energetic.
There are supermarkets about 20 minutes drive away in Montayral and Puy l'Eveque. Other nearby towns are Tournon d"Agenais (fortified medieval towns with square, restaurants, markets etc), Puy l'Eveque and Montcuq (which has a thriving local market on Sunday mornings). It is a fantastic area for cycling (no traffic, amazing routes, lots of hills and valleys).

Restaurants, food & wine
There are many restaurants in the surrounding areas, including one in the village. Maroux (10 mins drive) has a great restaurant (Chez Justine) provisioned with all local produce (or a pizza van on Thursdays in Maroux, Thezac on Tuesdays and at Masquires on Sundays if you want something quick). This is the wine growing area of Cahors wines and there are local vineyards all around, where you can pop in and taste and buy wine (the nearest is Maison Neuve on the road from `Serignac to La Boulve). There is also a bbq in the garden, if you fancy making your own charcoal or wood-fired meals. Local food markets are held in various neighbouring villages and towns most mornings of the week.
Activities
One of the best areas in France for cycling, on empty roads through fantastic countryside and vineyards. Bikes and Ebikes can be hired from a village nearby. Lots of hills and valleys. Many hiking routes too. Prehistoric cave art can be seen about 1 and 1/4 hrs drive away. Of course good food, vineyards and chateaux everywhere. Public tennis courts and pingpong table are available in the local village (Serignac).

- Near hiking trails
Further remarks
Unbeatable for a rural French holiday with a beautiful house and huge garden, orchard and fields surrounding the house. Peaceful with no immediate neighbours.
