The house
The holiday home Passiflore, located in the South of France, Lot department, is an old tobacco barn, which has been completely renovated with taste, while retaining its character.
The former living area has been transformed into the kitchen.
The former stables have become the dining room and living room.
The 2 adjacent stables house the bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet.
The old feeding trough has remained, and an aquarium with tropical fish has found a nice place there.
Upstairs there is a spacious mezzanine with a spacious bedroom on each side. Ideal for a family with children or for 2 couples.
Each room has a toilet and there is even a bathtub! In total, there is 200m2 of living space.
Everything is provided. Just put your bags down and.... enjoy!
There is a spacious south-facing terrace, and a 4000m2 garden where you can enjoy outdoor dining or do a BBQ in the evening under a clear starry sky. The garden is fully fenced and safe for children.

Holiday home Passiflore is located atop the rocks along the Lot River in southern France . You can see the river at the back of the garden, and we even made a cosy sitting area there to enjoy the view.
It is located next to a winery where you can buy delicious wine "Dols"( especially the rosé is nice) The village is very quiet with only local traffic and all the inhabitants are very friendly .
It is an ideal place to discover the Lot region, or just enjoy our beautiful garden.

Merci à Gabrielle et Jan pour leur excellent accueil ! Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans cette agréable maison. C'est Jan qui l'a rénovée de ses propres mains (il ne restait que quelques murs !). La maison est spacieuse et très bien équipée. La cuisine est pratique avec son ilot central ou on peut déjeuner. Toute en pierre la maison garde bien le frais par temps chaud. Le jardin est très grand. Nous avons également découvert la région, vallonnée, avec le Lot et le Célé tout proches pour baignades, canoé... Possibilité également de faire de l'escalade, de la via ferrata à 10 mn en voiture. On recommande évidemment !

Merci Bie et Jan pour votre accueil chaleureux. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans votre maison spacieuse, bien équipée, à la décoration soignée. Votre jardin est une merveille pour le repos. Le village est typique, la baignade à pied et de nombreuses visites possibles. Je recommande.

hallo bie wij hadden een fijne warme vakantie,het huis was perfect en ook ons klein kindje heeft het hier fijn gehad,het huis was zeer mooi en groot,en alles was aanwezig voor een zeer fijne vakantie,hiermede willen wij u en jan van harte bedanken voor het vertrouwen dat je ons gegeven heeft hartelijk bedankt groetjes ludo en marie jeanne
Restaurants, food & wine
There is so much to taste here in this area!
There are lots of little markets to discover ( Limogne, Cajarc, Cahors, St Gery, Figeac, Roccomadour,...) where you can taste and of course buy the specialities.
The wines of Cahors are very well known , not to mention confit de canard, or foie gras.
There are plenty of restaurants in St Cirque la Popie, but also in Cabrerets, Bouzies, St Gery and Vers
It is simply paradise on earth here!
Activities
The gite is located in Bouzies bas. A borough of St Gery, in the French department of Lot, southern France. It is within walking distance of the river where there is a nice pebble beach. Ideal for the whole family to sunbathe, swim, fish and for all kinds of other water activities.
You can go hiking, cycling, mountain biking, visit small quaint villages, stroll around cute French markets or.... Doing nothing!
12 km upstream is France's most beautiful picturesque village : St Cirque la Popie. Very popular with the French and crowded.
5 km from The Gîte , in Bouzies, you can take the beautiful walk Halage. A special hand-carved towpath along the river Lot. Highly recommended!
Not to forget the caves of Peche Merle, very famous for its prehistoric drawings ( Real ones!) . 5 km from us on foot , in the village of Cabrerets.
Cahors is 25 km, Cajarc 25 km, Figeac 60 km, Rocomadour 40 km.,.... Too much to visit in a week!

In summer, our air conditioning is very popular. So it stays nice and cool inside. Also because the holiday home Passiflore is located half underground. If it is too hot 35 degrees outside, it remains a pleasant 25 degrees inside.
