The pretty village of Puy L'Eveque is well situated whether you are spending a week or more on holiday or just a few days. Being located high above the Lot river is a bonus because of the stunning views of the river, adjoining vineyards and hills beyond.

There are a wide variety of things to do and see locally such as: Kayaking, Cycling, Fishing, vineyard tours/wine tasting, walking, sightseeing, visiting historical villages and monuments, horse riding and full sized 9 hole and 18 hole golf courses nearby. Or you can just while the days away at the many local day or night markets.

Cahors is the main city in the area and is an easy 25 minutes drive and boasts many good restaurants, shopping, markets, sightseeing river tours in the main tourist season and has many attractions to see.

In August there is a Jazz/Blues festival week with musicians attending from all over the world. Friday night is a favourite of the week when some bars/Restaurants have live bands playing.

Puy L'Eveque has everything you need for everyday conveniences which include: a supermarket, a weekly fresh produce market on Tuesdays, a nice selection of restaurants from fine dining to pizza close by as well as some lovely artisan shops, banks, bakeries and a post office.
