The house
Holiday home La Fontaine is a completely detached four-person chalet, with a bedroom containing an antique double bed. Furthermore, there are two single beds in the loft on the first floor. On the ground floor there is a cosy living room with French dining table, open kitchen, bathroom with bath and a separate toilet. A washing machine and dryer are available at the park against payment. There is a TV in the holiday home with DVD player. (No Dutch dish). The holiday chalet has a covered veranda a large terrace with free view with a garden table and 6 chairs, 2 x parasol and barbecue.

The terrain of holiday home La Fontaine is sloping, covered with bushes and holm oaks. On our piece of land of 800 square metres there are a number of holm oaks, which is very pleasant as they provide the necessary shade. The village Montgesty itself is at a walking distance of about 900 metres. There we find the bakery ( la boulangerie ), bar and a small restaurant with terrace. On the village square is a beautiful old church really worth a visit. The villagers play jeu de boule on the village square.
The village Montgesty is situated in the middle of the Quercy with its ancient river valleys ( Lot and Dordogne ), castles and small towns. Famous places in the vicinity of your holiday home are Sarlat (with its lively market and beautiful houses), Rocamadour a rustic town built on rocks with a raptor park and known for its falconry shows. Gourdon, St. Cirq-La Popie (really worth a visit) and not to forget Cahors the capital of the province of the Lot.
In Cahors you will find a number of large supermarkets, morning markets,
restaurants with terraces, an extensive shopping area and the necessary sights. Cahors is therefore perfect for shopping, eating and nightlife.

- Meest vervelende vond ik dat we van te voren niet geïnformeerd waren dat het restaurant gesloten was door ziekte.
- Wipkip en schommel stuk
- Heel veel wespen in het ondiepe gedeelte van het zwembad
- Huisje onvoldoende schoon en erg rommelig
- Tegels stuk buiten
- Er zit flinke ruimte tussen huisje en tegels buiten daardoor gevaarlijk voor hele kleine kinderen

Jammer dat de beheerders jullie niet heeft geïnformeerd over de situatie ik heb ze jullie mailadres doorgegeven.
in augustus zijn er altijd wat meer wespen die zoeken naar water dat is de natuur kan niet veel aan gedaan worden.
Het huisje moet altijd schoon zijn daarover had je mij kunnen informeren zodat ik het dan had kunnen aansturen om schoon te laten maken. Er is geen steenfabriek in de buurt het geluid kan komen omdat de boer zijn land bewerkt en dat is niet de aarde die we in Nederland hebben maar harde steengrond wellicht heb je dat gehoord.
Hopelijk hebben jullie mooi weer gehad en genoten van de vrijheid en rust.

Of course, the Lot Valley is bursting with natural beauty, places of interest, wine chateaus and picturesque villages along and high above the Lot valleys.

Activities
Domaine La Fontaine is an area of about 75,000 square metres with 8 chalets and a main building with reception, grange and recreational facilities, such as a large swimming pool (200m2) with shallow and very shallow sections. There are lovely sunbeds which you can use free of charge.
In the evening, the swimming pool is illuminated, which offers a beautiful view when you are on top of the terrace of the main building, having a snack or a drink.
Furthermore, for the little ones there is a sandpit and swings and an English seesaw.
for hire from the park managers (indicate when booking a cottage that you wish to make use of this). Beds and linen is also for rent please indicate if you want to use this. There is also a possibility to order croissants and baguettes for breakfast this morning on the your terrace brought:)
Who wants to be sporty can use the badminton net, table tennis table or hit a ball on the tennis court.
There is also a jeu de boules court.
In the surroundings you can make lovely walks, canoe on the Lot.
Close to the village Catus (about 7 minutes drive from La Fontaine) you find a lake (le Lac Vert) where you can swim, ride a pedalo or a rubber dinghy. There is also a volleyball net and a playground.
If you want to eat something, there is a snack bar and a restaurant.

For answering questions on the spot, or for solving small problems, please contact the administrators you will find in the main building. (Dutch speaking).
They also provide fresh bread every morning for your cottage!!!!
In the evening you can also go there for a delicious dinner or drink.
For small children there is a cot and a high chair available. Ask for them when booking.
