The Lot borders on the Dordogne but is a lot quieter. You will find authentic picturesque villages, castles, small rivers and you can enjoy the unspoilt wooded area with beautiful views. Not to be missed is a visit to one of the weekly markets e.g. in Cahor, Gourdon or Cazals. You will find many local products on offer.
Cahor has the famous Pont Valentré, a medieval fortified bridge crossing the Lot river, the Saint-Étienne cathedral, a monumental building, made up of various parts from different periods of time. In the centre of Cahors you can enjoy the shops and terraces.
Rocamadour, a medieval pilgrimage town which seems to be 'stuck' against the mountains, is certainly worth a visit. Or the towns St. Cirq-Lapopie, Meyronne and Carennac.
In Les Arques (about 10 km) you will find the Zadkine Museum with beautiful bronze statues and the work of various artists throughout the village.
Catus (5 km) has a nice recreational lake with a beach.

We hebben echt 2 heerlijke weken gehad in Bienloti. Huis heeft onze verwachtingen overtroffen. Bij de aankomst stond de wijn (uit de regio) klaar en het was schoon en opgeruimd. Een heerlijk zwembad en de overkapping achter het huis kwam met het mooie weer heel goed van pas en ook zeker voor de BBQ. Prachtige omgeving, leuk naar Cahors geweest voor de markt en soms even naar de supermarkt. Wandelen en fietsen kan er zeker heel goed. We hebben genoten.

Heerlijk luxe ontspannen in rustige omgeving We hebben met ons gezin twee heerlijke weken doorgebracht in deze complete vakantiewoning.
Heerlijk om relaxed bij te komen op het grote overdekte terras en in/naast het fijne zwembad.
In de omgeving voldoende supermarkten en markten aanwezig om ook lekker uitgebreid te kunnen koken in de complete keuken en/of op de goede barbecue. En vervolgens buiten te nuttigen op het terras.
Daarnaast ook een goede website om alle mogelijkheden in de omgeving bij de hand te hebben.

Met ons drieën zijn we een weekje verbleven in dit heerlijke huis op een mooie plek. Het huis heeft alles waar je op hoopt als je op vakantie gaat! De ligging is heerlijk rustig maar toch goed te bereiken. Een echte aanrader!

The wine region is situated around the Lot river and is 4300 hectares large.
Activities
The beautiful wooded area is ideal for lovely walks and make sure to visit the attractive and authentic French villages with their markets.
The town of Cahors is 20 km away and Cazals 17 km.
