The house
La Vie has 2 bedrooms with two double beds and one bedroom with 2 single beds and a double sofa bed. On the ground floor is the living room with fireplace, a spacious kitchen, the bathrooms (one with sit-down bath) and the toilet. This is a spacious house with a private terrace and a garden fireplace/barbecue. You can cool off in the pool on our property or relax in the spacious garden with shaded areas.

The Vallée de la Dordogne in the Lot is a beautiful area with lots of nature and sights. Every village or town has something from the Middle Ages and you can walk or cycle here for hours. The Dordogne River is less than 5 minutes away and invites you to go swimming, fishing or canoeing. The Lot is also known for its clear nights so at night, lying in the hammock, you can enjoy millions of stars.

Restaurants, food & wine
On Martel's medieval square, you can enjoy delicious food at several restaurants or bistros and, in season, a band plays almost every weekend. We live in a walnut area and there is such a walnut orchard next to our house as well. However, this region has some good wineries or vineyards. A very famous wine from this region is the red wine from Cahor, also called Vin Noir because of its dark colour. And if you like it..this region is also known for its Foie Gras.
Activities
Here in the Vallée de la Dordogne is beautiful, you can hike, mountain bike, canoe and fish in the Dordogne. There is even a point from which you can paraglide or hang glide. Within 30 minutes you will find lots of history and medieval villages and towns such as ; Rocamadour, Sarlat, Cahor, Collonges-la-Rouge, Turenne and many more. There is also plenty to do for children such as; Prehisto Dino Park, Reptiland, Paintball, caves, Quercyland in Souillac and the Martel steam train. We are directly on the D15 from St.Sozy to Souillac and less than 10 minutes from the A20 from Brive to Toulouse.

Further remarks
If you want a quiet day, stay in our large garden behind our house and enjoy the peace and quiet and the view. The children can enjoy the pool while you relax on one of our wooden loungers with an Aperol Spritz. In the evening, our garden is beautifully lit and you can relax in a hammock or play a game of Jeu de Boules.
