Mauroux , belonging to the Cahors district, Mauroux village in southern France falls within the Lot. Bounded to the north by the Lot river, the small town just reached an area of 16.20 square kilometres and is home to nearly 550 residents.
Between the Lot River flowing peacefully and its green surroundings, the town thrived in a verdant natural environment where living well is the key word.
Cahors wine, truffle omelettes and duck confit adorn the table, as well as specialities from fishing in the nearby Lot river.

In Mauroux, there is Chateau Latuc. The (Belgian) Meyan family, owners of Chateau Latuc, are constantly improving quality. In its first year of existence, Chateau Latuc won 2 gold medals in major competitions in France. definitely worth a visit! or if you want to drive a bit further, you can also visit the vineyards of Cahors. You cannot start from Mauroux without tasting a good cassoulet of duck and have slowly tasted armagnac aged in cellars.
