The house
- Living kitchen with fridge, microwave, oven, gas cooker, washing machine and all necessary cooking utensils. Air conditioning has been provided since 2023!!!
- The dining area consists of a table with 4 chairs
- The sitting area includes a sofa and separate armchairs in fresh colours.
- There is TV, video and a music system provided, books, CDs DVDs.
- Bathroom with toilet, shower and sink.
- 2 spacious bedrooms, one with a double bed and the second with 2 separate beds.
- There is a poolside terrace with additional sun loungers suitable for all sunbathers. The pool is gradually accessed by steps and is fitted with an electric roller shutter to meet strict French safety standards and is for the Bergerie tenants only, totally private therefore. A BBQ is provided and renewed this year.

La Bergerie is a cottage built in traditional French stone (gives coolness on hot days) and stands alone. It is situated 1.5 km from the village Cadrieu on the causses (height). It is very atmospheric with a sunny terrace and a garden that brings coolness. As the small road that leads us from the village stops where the house is and then turns into a farm road, the traffic is very rare (1 to 2 cars per day!) and only used by locals. Cajarc is at 5 km and has all shops. It is a cosy village with lots of activities during the summer months. Everywhere in the region there are markets, where you can enjoy yourself in a safe way, take a terrace and enjoy a nice meal at very democratic prices.Cajarc and the surrounding villages are on the pilgrimage route of St.Jacques de Compostelle. You will meet many pilgrims on your walks, even sometimes on donkey's. At a few kilometres distance there are numerous worth seeing castles and picturesque villages to visit (Rocamadour, Saint Cirque- Lapopie...) and a number of standardized caves.
The area also lends itself perfectly to the artists among you, talented or not.
Living as God in France is really the motto here. In this part of France with few tourists, time seems to stand still now and then. An ideal place for a relaxing holiday.

Wat een paradijs! prachtige plek!
Wij hebben eigenlijk alleen maar geleefd aan het zwembad, het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien, vooral de airco is top!
Niet super luxe,maar alles is er!

Als je een verblijf zoek met alleen maar stilte (behalve de vogels) dan ben je hier op je plek.
Zoveel ruimte om het huis, een heerlijk zwembad, overdekt terras bij het zwembad met een
gasbbq. Langs de Lot en Célé is het ontzettend mooi om te fietsen te wandelen of te toeren.
Cajarc is een leuk stadje met een weekmarkt, goede slagers en bakkers.

Wat hebben wij een heerlijke vakantie gehad !, Een heerlijk huisje , echt werkelijk alles is aanwezig .
Iedere ochtend bij het poolhuis ontbeten , en een heerlijk , fantastisch zwembad , echt genieten !
dat is werkelijk vakantie. bij slecht weer (regen en harde wind) hebben wij gezellig in het huisje gezeten, boekje gelezen, tv gekeken. werkelijk een fantastische locatie/huisje/poolhuis , echt alles compleet.De omgeving schitterend , mooie dorpjes . . En heel belangrijk : het contact met Chantal was ook super ! Kortom FANTASTISCH ,
Restaurants, food & wine
The region is famous for its wines (Cahors and Gaillac) and there are many winegrowers where you can find what you need at a relatively cheap price.
Goat's cheese, duck end products (such as foie gras magret de canard), snails and truffles are among the specialities of the region. Because of the pilgrim route, the restaurants are numerous and one can eat well at a cheap price. The inhabitants are extremely friendly and willing.
Activities
Next door at about 500m you can glide to the plain of the Lot. For divers, there are the famous underground caves at the edge of Cadrieu. Tennis can be played in Cajarc.Located near the Lot, the region offers the possibility of practicing water sports such as canoeing and water skiing and further near Figeac rafting. This is also a paradise for fishermen. There are a number of riding schools in the vicinity, where special attention is paid to the children. A day trip is one of the possibilities.
