The house
Our gite is attached to our house and has its own entrance. There is a living kitchen with room for 5 people. Furthermore, there is 1 bedroom with a double and a single bed. In the living room there is a sofa bed for 2 pers. There is central heating . Everything has been recently renovated in a modern Mediterranean atmosphere. TV is available.
You can also use our spacious garden with swimming pool, barbecue and terrace, from which you have a beautiful view of the mountains (Caroux), where the gorge d'Heric begins.

Mons la Trivalle is known for its "Gorge d'Heric" (mountain gorge with river), which is very beautiful and easy to walk with numerous waterfalls and swimming or bathing possibilities, this is 10 min walk from the gite. Manoir la trivalle lies on the outside of the village with a beautifully landscaped, very quiet garden, while the centre of the village is only 50 metres as the crow flies from the gite, where you can have a drink or dinner on the terrace of the auberge. The village has a tourist information, a bakery, a pizzeria, a grocery, a wine shop, a tobacco shop, an auberge and in the high season twice a week a small market.
At the bottom of the village lies the river l'Orbe, where a kayak rental is present, and from the west side the river le Jaure joins le Orbe. le Jaure is a trout river, where much fishing is done.
There are beautiful hiking trails, for amateurs and experienced, and the Passapaïs (beautiful bicycle route) starts at our doorstep.

Restaurants, food & wine
Several good restaurants are in the immediate vicinity, but if you want you can join us for dinner, "Table d'Hotes", wine + coffee incl. for 22 euros.
Registration in advance is desired.
The restaurants in the village and the surroundings serve delicious mediterranean dishes and game and seafood, all accompanied by good wines from our own region and from the vineyards in the area.

Activities
In summer, numerous small kiosks are opened in the most beautiful places where you can eat and drink, and they are usually the starting/finishing points for walks or other sports activities. In the month of August there are also many musical activities, varying from pop to classical. There are several beautiful Mediterranean villages and wine regions in the area, and also 3 smaller towns each with a weekly market, in summer and winter. The "Parc Naturelle Haut Langue-Doc" is indescribable, so beautiful!
The HERAULT is one of the most beautiful natural and hiking areas of France, very accessible, and we are right in it!!!! From dramatic rough rock formations to idyllic wine valleys and a little higher, green meadows with lakes for sailing and fishing, and all that with the Mediterranean Sea still within 45 minutes' drive.
And not to forget the Passapaïs, an 80 km green cycle path follows the track of the former railway line, where car traffic is far away.

Henny van Leussen and Bert de Boer both have other activities as well.
Henny is Master Third Degree in Reiki. She gives Reiki treatments by appointment and Reiki courses (Initiation 1,2, and 3).
She also organises coaching week programmes.
Apart from building, Bert is also engaged in music, drawing and painting activities, and he knows many quiet beautiful places to practise this, of course with pick-nick "sur place".
Smaller groups can always apply for all these activities.
Such an arrangement can always be requested and classified according to the wishes of the group (age, duration, flexibility, etc.).

Both our Gites and our Chambres d'Hotes are open all year round!
The prices for our "Chambres" remain the same throughout the year; for 2 persons from 65 Euro per night, incl. Petit-dejeuner.
Spacious rooms with large beds, bathrooms with good sanitary facilities, central heating, ample parking space.
For groups and courses there are different prices.
