In the French Pyrenees, just above the Spanish border, lies Flo and Rob's charming Domaine where they rent out eight idyllic luxury Gîtes (4-6pers.) and two Lodges (4pers.) under the name Pyrénées Passions. It is pleasant to refuel in these southern regions, where church bells are still rung by hand and milk is still bought from the farmer.
What to do in the Pyrenees?
Plenty! From limestone massif Monte Perdido (Cirque Gavarnie - Unesco heritage) to a trip to Lourdes. Or explore hills and mountains, quaint villages and beautiful cities like Toulouse and Pau. Experience a kingdom for walking (hiking trails GR10 - GR11 - HRP) and cycling (cols Tour de France). Enjoy a bounty of spring water and wellness in Loudenvielle or Luchon.
Sporting activity
There are plenty of opportunities for sporting activities. Think water fun (kayaking, rafting, hydrospeeding), paragliding, canyoning, caving, horse/donkey riding, climbing and scrambling in the wild or in climbing parks. Or how about a visit to underground rivers, caves or observatory (Pic du Midi).
Exceptional cuisine
Flo is an experienced cook! She likes to prepare a dinner, lunch or picnic for guests. She mainly uses organic local produce and takes the seasons into account (slow-food concept). Breakfast is served in the morning 'Chez flo' or, weather permitting, under the old apple tree in the garden. There is even a sandwich service in July and August. Warm rolls are delivered to the door of your Gîte or Lodge. That's a great way to wake up.
Four times a week, a Table d'Hôte activity is offered, ranging from a luxury dinner to an oven-delicious pizza evening or self-supporting BBQ. And of course, children's culinary menus are offered. Dietary requirements are also taken into account.
Kidsproof
Pyrénées Passions has a 5-star rating from Kidsproof Holidays. Children no longer sit inside during their holidays. There is plenty to do on site such as a lovely swimming pool, trampoline, playground with swings and slide, table tennis table, children's activities, jeux de boule but above all plenty of other playmates.

The accommodation is located in the small village of Estadens (450 inhabitants). At the foot of the Pyrenees with great views in full nature. Meadows with grazing cows and/or horses around the accommodation. Wonderful holiday in a quiet environment a la campagne.
Because we are well acquainted with the area, our guests can easily get to know unique locations that are hard to find for outsiders. Even to the smallest mountain paths, mountain roads and glorious mountain lakes up to high in the Pyrenees.

On the terraces of small bistrots or large restaurants, in the rural atmosphere of inns, guests can indulge in delicious, typical culinary specialities reflecting the local produce and natural hospitality of the Midi-Pyrénées. The wines of Cahors, Gaillac, Madiran, Fronton, Marcillac have benefited from the AOC for many years.
Tables d'hotes: together at the table
All gîtes have their own kitchenette, but you won't have to cook much. In summer, Rob and Flo offer 4 or 5 opportunities to dine together. With various themes, including children. Such as a French evening, a DIY BBQ, a pizza evening ('choose your own toppings'), giant giant pancakes and more! In the process, the hosts ensure a cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Because, as Flo says, "Our smile is always mean!" and you can feel it!
Flo and Rob do have a high favour factor for the restaurants in the area. Within a limit of 3 to 5 km you will already find restaurants of very good quality.
Activities
In cooperation with our guides, we organise various (outdoor) activities for our guests, such as mountain hikes for both trained hikers and families, horse riding through the Pyrenees, rafting on the river "la Garonne", canyoning in the area or in Spain, picnics in idyllic spots, various children's activities, wonderful mountain biking and cycling routes and much more fun...
Furthermore, the various caves, medieval frescoes, gothic stages, celebrities and beautiful cities, pilgrimage site Lourdes, Pic du Midi (crusade to the stars at 2,872 m.), journeys in the high mountains, regional natural parks, trip to a luxury spa etc.

In the morning, when waking up and feeling the first rays of the sun, you immediately taste the atmosphere of the good life; the sheep farmer moving his sheep to another pasture, the cows grazing with their bells exploring the area and the sound of the flowing mountain stream running through the Fond de la Vielle. It seems like a fairy tale, but this is everyday life in the French Pyrenees! Be surprised!

Een geweldige vakantie gehad bij Rob & Inge. Zeer mooie accommodatie met verschillende huisjes. Onze kinderen hadden veel plezier met de andere kinderen. Een lekker zwembad, mooie voorzieningen op het terrein. Heerlijk aanschuiven aan de tafel met een groot compliment voor de verrassende gerechten.
We hebben super genoten ook van de mooie bergwandeling die door Rob was georganiseerd. Een schitterende omgeving met een groot scala aan uitstapjes.
De eigenaren hebben een hart voor de zaak dat merk je aan alles.
