The spacious holiday farm has large yet homely rooms and excellent equipment :

LECTOURE IN THE GERS
La Métairie de David is situated in Lectoure, in the department of Gers (region Midi-Pyrenees), and is surrounded by history. In the surrounding area, there are several Roman remains, such as the Roman Villa with beautiful mosaics in Séviac.
Lectoure is situated on a rock and towers above the valley of the Gersuit. The Episcopal Palace adjoins the beautiful cathedral and at the end of the rocky point lies the Old Hospital, built on the foundations of the castle of the counts of Armagnac. There is no village in the vicinity without a historic Romanesque church, medieval abbey or monastery.
In terms of health and wellness, the local spa offers all kinds of therapies based on the sulphurous water from the local spring.
CULTURE
There is also always a cultural activity somewhere that appeals to you. In summer, there are several festivals such as the Country Mirande Music (from July 13 to 17, 2016) and the world-famous Jazz festival in Marciac. And at the end of August there is the Festival Pyrotechnique in Lectoure, an unparalleled 2-day fireworks spectacle.

TANTALISINGLY DELICIOUS REGION
The region is a real culinary paradise with fruits and vegetables in abundance, and all kinds of mushrooms. And who can resist the delicious meat of ducks and geese? There is the famous foie gras, but also the magret (duck breast) or confit duck legs. And for meat lovers, Limousin, with its excellent beef cattle of the same name, is also nearby.
A good glass of wine is part of the enjoyment here. This is the cradle of the Côtes de Gascogne, a lighter but high-quality wine. Taste it extensively in the many wineries. Lectoure is also the cradle of Armagnac. Have a taste, but enjoy in moderation!
An absolute must is the local market, where you can taste all kinds of goodies. The region is not nicknamed Little Tuscany for nothing. The sunflowers, grapes, vineyards and olive groves, duck and goose farms, ... it is all here. Here you really feel like God in France!

You can enjoy the sun everywhere here. Around the house there are 3 spacious terraces with comfortable outdoor furniture and dining areas.
Beautiful is the brand new 6 x 12 m. swimming pool for a wonderfully refreshing dip with all of us.
There is plenty of space to relax in and around the house, the swimming pool and the other accommodations: ping pong table, petanque courts, playground equipment, golf practice, two ponds.
Furthermore, there are numerous leisure possibilities. You can fish here, there is a golf course (at 10 km), a tennis court at cycling distance and much more.
There are also 300 km of mountain bike trails and the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella crosses this region.
