The property is located on the village square of Saint-Denis. An 8-minute drive from Saint-Ambroix and also a 15-minute drive from Barjac. Old buildings, nice little streets. Within walking distance swimming river Cèze with beach for some sunbathing, reading or a fresh (morning) swim. The village is in the Gard in a quiet area but not isolated. Within no time you are at all the beautiful sights the Gard and the Ardèche have to offer. With or without children, there is always something to do that suits you.

Ruim 2 weken waren wij te gast in gîte Romarin. Héél sfeervol en het ontbrak ons aan niets! Hoewel het weer wat tegenviel, hebben wij leuke plaatsen bezocht en genoten van de natuur. De communicatie met Marjan, vooraf en tijdens ons verblijf was zeer prettig. Dank jullie wel!

Eine wunderschöne Wohnung, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es ist alles da was man benötigt. Die Gegend, besonders die Badestellen sind super und man hat viele Möglichkeiten sich dort zu beschäftigen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wij hadden dit jaar geen "buitenlandse" vakantieplannen maar we zijn toch maar gevlucht vanwege de tot nu toe regenachtige "zomer" in Nederland. Top dat we mochten verblijven in jullie mooie gîte! Prachtige plek, van alles voorzien, en een heerlijk terras! We hebben (weer) van de omgeving genoten, marktjes bezocht en olijfolie en kruiden ingeslagen. Morgen weer huiswaarts, veel dank voor alles!
Restaurants, food & wine
Barjac (Gard) is 15 minutes away from the gite and has numerous restaurants and terraces. Every Friday there is a beautiful market in Barjac where you can buy delicious tapas, olives, cheeses, vegetables, bread and wines and other typical French products. In the Gard, there are many wine houses where you can taste and buy wine. But also on the many markets in the area, the wine houses are often represented. On every day of the week, you could visit a market.
Activities
The village of Saint-Denis is located in the Gard region and close to the Ardèche. Between Barjac and Saint-Ambroix. There are many activities to do and sights to see. Beautiful cities like Nîmes, Avignon, Aubenas, Uzes, Arles, Montpellier are all in the region. Especially in the Ardèche, there is a lot to do like canoeing, cycling, climbing, walking and swimming in the rivers. The historical Pont du Gard (Roman aqueduct) is worth a visit but also the impressive Gorges de L'Ardèche are close by. There are beautiful caves to visit, also for the children a very nice outing. In the Cevennes, a nature reserve, you can go for excellent walks and for the cycling enthusiast, the Mont Ventoux or Mont Bouquet are in the region. Everything is possible in this area, beautiful cities, nice trips, culture or sports. But also those nice markets; every day there is a market somewhere like Barjac, Saint-Ambroix, Joyeuse, Uzès, too much to mention! Within walking distance of Gîtes NouLou is the Cèze river. You can swim, sunbathe, play, fish or relax under the trees. Ideal for children but also for adults. We offer a cart so you can easily take your stuff with you. There are bicycles in the building that you may use.

Further remarks
Gîte Romarin (and gîte Anis see our other ad) is on the 1st floor of the property. The entrance is through a coeur, via a staircase. The gîtes have a large terrace. The terrace has a bead curtain as a partition for privacy. The flat has air conditioning. Rental is also ideal for 2 families who want to holiday together but still want their own privacy.
On the ground floor is Gîte Olive and on the 2nd floor Gîte Lavande (see also our other advertisements).

Flat Romarin has airco/heating, we ask 7,50 per night extra for this.
