The house
Diva-Nîmes sets a new standard in Urban Gites with its 4 metre high ceilings, grand living room and three bedrooms. These consist of two rooms overlooking a leafy garden (right in the middle of town) with double beds and a third with two singles (can also be made a double) as well as its own balcony, table, chairs and parasol...
The apartment has a distinctive "operatic" atmosphere in honour of Nîmes' prestigious opera house opposite the building, destroyed by fire in 1954. It was replaced by Normal Foster's famous "Maison Carrée" library, art gallery, lecture theatres and rooftop restaurant.
The three bedrooms are named "Puccini", "Margot and Rudolf" (ballet) and "Carmen", all decorated with "souvenirs" and opportunities for guests to be photographed in some impressive settings...
Without forgetting the separate 4 metres high WC and bathroom of course, complete with bath/shower, washing machine and drier (for those rare occasions when you can't hang your washing on the balcony outside...).

Diva-Nimes is at the very heart of Nîmes - barely 30 steps from the best-preserved Roman Temple anywhere in the world, the "Maison Carré" (and only 50 metres from Nimes' most prestigious 5 star hotel, the "Imperator" !). With the equally well preserved Roman Arena just 5 or 6 minutes away on foot. Now used for open-air concerts in the summer, colourful pageants and even traditional bullfights in Spring and Autumn...
However, despite being in the very heart of this vibrant town, our first-floor apartment overlooks a private leafy garden featuring an imposing chestnut tree in a shady courtyard. This and the 4 metre high ceilings ensure the temperature is always pleasant...

There are over 200 restaurants of various kinds to choose within easy distance from Diva-Nimes. We will be delighted to point you to some of the most interesting, traditional or creative...
You will probably want to do your own cooking as well after buying some of the best ingredients from the market - and some premium wines from the well-stocked wine shop just one minute from Diva-Nîmes' door... (even nearer than the convenience store!).
And of course, if you are planning a full day by the sea, in the Cévenne Hills, at Avignon or one of the many other "musts", you can pick up the latest documentation from the Tourist Office (next to the Arena) 5 minutes away...
