The house
Mas Lion is a sturdy French 10-person holiday home just 50m from the river La Cèze. Completely renovated in 2023, this holiday home has a large open finca kitchen with sturdy lounge, 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets.
Outside you will find a large canopy with large dining table, outdoor kitchen & bar and a large stone bbq. On the paved terrace you are surrounded by nature, you can hear the murmuring of the river, birds of prey & typical cigales. On the terrace is also a cosy relaxation pool to cool down.
Next to the terrace is a large 2000m2 lawn with mulberry trees. Several cars can be parked here.
This cool holiday home has sun and shade all day long. It is quietly located. Mas Lion is located in the protected monumental village La Roque sur Ceze, which is on the list of France's 180 most beautiful villages.
What makes Mas Lion unique is atmosphere of the house (old vaulted brick ceilings), location in nature & nearby river. The beautiful waterfalls 'Cascades du Sautadet' are at 5 min walking distance.
In 10 minutes by car, you are in the centre of the cosy Goudargues or at the Intermarché supermarket.
Low season: With a total of max 4 guests you make use of 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. The other 2 bedrooms are then locked. It is possible to book these as well, but you pay extra because of the use of multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. During high season, Mas Lion is always rented out in its entirety.
NB Next to Mas Lion the managers live in their own house. They manage the 3 holiday cottages. This house is completely independent.
As a tenant, you have full private use of the house, garden and relaxation pool.

This southern paradise has an abundance of beautiful, enchanting landscapes and offers a wide range of attractions with extraordinary historical and cultural heritage. So look no further!
Since 2008, La Roque sur Cèze has earned the designation 'One of France's most beautiful villages'. Thanks in part to its impressive waterfalls, the Cascades du Sautadet and its medieval, narrow access bridge, the Pont Charles Martel.
The variety of landscapes around Mas Lion is attractive for hikers, swimmers, fishermen, sunbathers, mountain bikers and cyclists, among others. In a canoe or kayak, you sail down the Cèze or Ardèche along pebbly beaches and beautiful rock faces. There are more than 300 kilometres of marked hiking trails criss-crossing the territory. Walk through vineyards, lavender fields, along rivers and through forests. Most paths are also accessible to horse riders.
The beautiful cities of Avignon, Nîmes, Uzès, and Orange bear witness to cultural and religious life. These destinations can be reached within an hour from Mas Lion. The many weekly market days sell both local and tourist products: olive oil, goat cheese, lavender oil, herbs, jams. The brocantes, potters' market and medieval festivals are also events not to be missed!
