The house
Our villa is built on a slope and therefore has two ground-floor entrances. The ground floor on the lower floor is the gite. There is no connection between the two living units. The gite is not rented out and we do not live there. The gite is detached with a very spacious garden with large private pool with a fabulous view of the Gateway of the Cevennes . It is not overlooked and completely private yet within walking distance of the centre of Anduze. The gite has an area of almost 70 m² with its own driveway and entrance. The gite has a living room with beautiful views, a dining room and open kitchen. The cosy terrace surrounded by olive trees has a view of the Cevennes and is ideal for spending the evening or looking for the coolness of the tall pine trees further on in the garden. There are also two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a bunk bed and a single bed. The bathroom has a washbasin, shower and toilet.
As an option, an extra bedroom can be booked to accommodate 7 people. This one is located in the pool house and only suitable for adults as it is right next to the pool. The bedroom has a large double bed, its own WiFi, flat-screen TV and a sink. The pool house bathroom is located right next to the room, so is the outdoor kitchen.

La Villa Bellevue in Anduze is an excellent choice for celebrating both an active and relaxing holiday, as there are endless attractions in the Cévennes.
Anduze the 'Gateway of the Cévennes' located between the river Gardon and the steep limestone mountains of Saint-Julien. Anduze is a pottery town known for its Vase d'Anduze. There is a market every Tuesday evening and a bric-a-brac market on Sundays. The numerous restaurants offer delicacies at blissful prices. A stone's throw away you will find the largest bamboo forest in Europe, the 'Bambouserai' and the steam train between Anduze and Saint-Jean-du-Gard with a stop at the Bamboo Forest.
From Anduze, you can literally go in any direction. Via St Jean-du-Gard you enter the Cevennes Natural Park over the Corniche des Cévennes. With fantastic car routes and beautiful hiking trails with natural beauty that will occasionally take your breath away. If you prefer something more sporty, you can explore the vast roads and trails on road bikes or mountain bikes. Although the Cévennes 'only' belongs to the central mountain range, you will find quite serious slopes, ravines, raging rivers and high plains.
If you are more in the mood to see and feel the Mediterranean Sea, it can be found 50 kilometres away and nicely combined with a trip to yet another natural park, that of the Camargue for instance. But outside, the various étangs and the lovely town of Les-Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer are lovely to visit.
Just over an hour away is the aqua park, unique for children and adults, with a choice of 14 large slides.
Its convenient location makes it possible to make trips from here to Uzès, Nîmes, Montpellier, Arles, Avignon, gorges d'Ardèche, Sommières.
