The cottage, located in the hamlet "Pradels", is at 425m altitude against the mountainside and therefore has a breathtaking view of the Lot valley.
At short walking distance you are outside the hameau (hamlet) where several hiking trails start.
The terrace offers an amazing panoramic view over the green landscape of the valley.
The cottage is close to the historic town of Entraygues-sur-Truyère, where the rivers Lot and Truyère meet. This town offers shops, restaurants, terraces, festivals, weekly markets and of course the "Jeu de boules" activities.

Reviews
Erwin Mareen from Lochristi,
Wij hadden een zeer mooie vakantie in het goed ingerichte vakantiehuis La Petite Maison. Het huis is voorzien van alle comfort. Zeer goede koel-vriescombinatie aanwezig.
A en M from Warnsveld,
Ger en Caroline from Breda,

Area: Laguiole

Less than an hour away is Laguiole, an ideal winter sports area for beginners and advanced skiers. In the Aubrac, there are several places with winter sports facilities in the winter. Restaurants, food & wine
Eating
In the Aveyron there are many restaurants. For a reasonable price (e.g. € 16) you will get a three-course menu. The quality is generally good with peaks and troughs. For the gastronomes among you: a three-star restaurant that is world-famous is located near Laguiole. Michel Bras is the man in charge here. The complex, named after him, overlooks the Aubrac plain. The dishes are very refined and made from natural and local produce. Nothing comes from "the food factory". For a lunch with wine, you should count on €75 to €100. A "branch" has recently opened in Japan! Michel Bras' son heads the kitchen brigade there.
Cheese
France has 42 high quality cheeses that bear the "AOC label" ("Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée").
Some of the cheeses that bear this label come from the region, including Roquefort, Laguiole, Cantal, Bleu des Causses, Saint-Nectaire and Cabecco.
Wines
Fine wines come from: Entraygues, Le Fel, Estaing. Very good wines come from Marcillac (VSOP) and Cahors.
Activities
Swimming
If you feel like a refreshing swim, you can choose between one of the lakes or the river Lot. In some places along the water, beaches have been created. If you want to enjoy total peace and quiet, choose a spot in unspoilt nature. The water is of excellent swimming quality thanks to purification installations and is regularly checked. You can also use the swimming pools in Golinhac (3km), Entraygues (7km) or Estaing (14km).
Hiking
The Lot valley is a walker's paradise. The pilgrim route "Santiago de Compostela" passes by Pradels. The Valley has a beautiful landscape and many magnificent views and is ideally suited to hiking. Maps and booklets for short and long walks of varying difficulty are available from the Tourist Office in Entraygues-sur-Truyere.
Canoeing and kayaking
Along the river Lot are many characteristic villages. There are several moorings for canoes and kayaks. The canoe routes are open to everyone, so ideal for beginners or for paddling with the children.
Fishing
Experienced fishermen know how rich the Lot river is in fish and how pleasant it is here to throw out a fishing rod. There are many places and ways to fish. There are brooks and several reservoirs. You will find trout, carp, pike and zander in these waters.

Further remarks
The weather
The climate in the Aveyron is, so to speak, at a crossroads of climatic conditions. In spring and autumn, the climate can be called mild and the ocean influences can be felt. In the winter, the influence of the land climate can be felt and skiing is possible from December to March. From April to September, it is summer and the temperature can reach thirty degrees and the proximity of the Mediterranean can often be felt.
