The house
Traditional detached house and barn 'en pierre' with spacious garden. The house was completely renovated in 2009 and equipped with contemporary comfort, such as central heating, a new kitchen and a new bathroom. Throughout the house you will find attractive classic furniture, made by the cabinet maker who previously occupied the house. The rooms at the front of the house overlook the Lac de Pareloup. In 2017, a spacious swimming pool (9.5 x4.5 m) was built for your own use.
On the ground floor there is a spacious living room (9x5m), kitchen , toilet, utility room and 2 entrances. In the living room there is a sitting area around the fireplace. There is also a TV with DVD player. The house is equipped with WIFI. On the opposite side is the dining area, where a long table seats 10 people. The adjoining kitchen (5x4m) gives, through its open structure, a spacious impression with a view of the beam construction.
On the first floor, there are a bathroom and two bedrooms. The bathroom has a shower, 2 washbasins, toilet and bathtub. Both bedrooms overlook the garden and have a double bed. The second floor and also the attic has an open structure just like the kitchen, where the beams of the roof are visible. Here are two bedrooms and a spacious landing. Both bedrooms (with view on the Lac de pareloup) have a double bed, in one of the bedrooms there is a double mattress with bedding available for 2 extra sleeping places. On the landing there is a sofa bed with which, if desired, two extra sleeping places can be realised.

Surroundings
Near the famous Lac de Pareloup, the largest reservoir in the south of France, is Mas Vayssettes; a group of houses and farms where this house is also located.
At 6 km distance there is the charming village of Arvieu, where you will find a bakery and a grocery shop for the first necessities of life. Tourism in Lac de Pareloup is small-scale, and those who love unspoilt surroundings with a lot of natural beauty and typical French character will feel very much at home here. There are beautiful day trips to make, among others to the 'Gorges du Tarn' (e.g. white-water canoeing), Montpellier le Vieux (impressive rock formations in the rough Tarn valley), the Cevennen and the parc regional des Grand Causes. Also on the cultural and architectural field, there is enough to experience: Albi (a.o. musée de Toulouse-Lautrec), Rodez, Millau (Viaduc de Millau), Belcastel, Brousse-le-Chateau, Conques etc.etc.

Reviews
marijke obdeijn from Limmen,
Een prachtig/sfeervol huis, met alles erop en eraan. In een mooie tuin met een heerlijk zwembad. Echt een aanrader!!
M van Klink from Leiden,
Zeer fijn huis.
Koen De Bleecker from Brakel,
Topvakantie gehad in Mas Vaysettes.
Restaurants, food & wine
In the villages in the immediate vicinity, there are many restaurants where the traditional French cuisine is served. Without pretentions, but with tasty dishes of fresh local ingredients. In Pont de Salars (13 km) you can enjoy culinary refinement at Hotel de Voyageur.
In the village of Roquefort-sur-Soulzon, you can visit the famous caves where Roquefort cheeses are matured. In the nearby Tarn valley, many vineyards can be found. The Gaillac, one of the oldest wine regions in the world, is located along the Tarn.
Activities
The nearby Lac de Pareloup is the largest lake in the south of France and offers extensive possibilities for practising various water sports. From the house you can see the lake very well. The nearest beach is less than a kilometre from the house. Near the beach is a small harbour and a restaurant. Because of the size of the lake, it is suitable for active water sports like sailing or water skiing, as well as for lovers of peace and quiet. There are 2 canoes available at the house.
The house is located in the 'Mas Vayssettes', a group of 5 houses and farms in the rolling mountainous landscape of the Midi-Pyrenees region. In the immediate vicinity of the house there is beautiful hiking, mountain biking and cycling. At the house, bicycles for different ages are available to explore the beautiful surroundings.
For the children, the spacious garden around the house (35x35m) is enough entertainment, with a paddling pool, trampoline, seesaw, hut etc.
