The house
Villa Jipo is a detached, multi-storey house in the charming village of Saint-Denis. Located in a fully enclosed garden of 1200 m2, this holiday home offers complete privacy. There is a swimming pool in the garden behind the house. The swimming pool is fenced off and therefore safe for children and pets. There are several places to sit in the garden so that there are both shade and sun places. There is a fixed barbecue in the garden. The holiday home is cozy and comfortable (completely new interior) with a very extensive kitchen.

Villa Jipo is located on the outskirts of the village of St. Denis where there is a small shop with pub. Directly from home you can walk for hours through the Montagne Noir and a little further through the Pyrenees. Fishing water is a 15-minute walk or 2-minute drive. ATB bikes can be rented in the village for spectacular tours. The medieval city of Carcassonne is 17 km away with an 18-hole golf course. Carcassonne is a city with fantastic squares and shops with a cozy heart in the historic part called the "Cité". Boat trips can be made on the Canal de Midi. The house is in the middle of the Cathar area with famous castles such as Saissac, Lastours and the large Peyeperthuse and Queribus. The nearby village of Montolieu (10 min. by car) is known throughout France as a book town and has some very nice restaurants. In Revel (Saturday) and Mirepoix (Monday), two of the largest markets from the South of France are held every week. Toulouse, Narbonne and Andorra can all be easily reached by car for a visit.

Heerlijk vakantie huis met een lekker zwembad. Zeer gastvrije eigenaren. We voelden ons zeer welkom. Het huis was tiptop schoon, heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. De omgeving is prachtig. Je kan de rust opzoeken maar ook de drukte van Carcassonne(druk maar een bezoek waard!).

Wij zijn afgelopen zomer (2023) hier een week komen logeren, met 2 kindjes (4j) en (6j).
we hebben het hier keileuk gevonden, de tuin rondom het huis was prima onderhouden, ruim en voldoende schaduwplekken, ook het zwembad was helemaal in orde, Beste keuken die we konden treffen supergrote handige keuken aanrecht, met alle nodige kommen, bestek, potten en pannen die we elke dag met plezier hebben gebruikt bij het koken, typisch frans huisje dat gezellig is ingericht. waarin het bij warme dagen ook binnen koel blijft ook.propere leefomgeving met royale badkamer.
ook veel zwemplezier gehad!naburige dorpjes en de grotere stad Carcassone en de grote supermarkten zijn niet super ver gelegen,
Wij misten dit huisje al nog op onze terugweg naar huis.

We hebben een heel leuke vakantie beleefd in villa Jipo. Het huis heeft alle nodige comfort en het zwembad was geweldig. De streek is heel mooi. We hebben leuke uitstapjes gemaakt. De mensen die daar wonen zijn heel vriendelijk en sociaal. We hebben lekker gegeten in de lokale restaurants. Onze vakantie was geweldig!
Restaurants, food & wine
In almost all surrounding villages and of course in the city of Carcassonne you can eat and drink well. The Languedoc wines are world famous and many wine tastings are in the nearby area.
Activities
Spectacular hiking and cycling trips can be made from the house. There is an extensive network of mountain bike routes and hiking trails. In the nearby village of Cuxac there is a large approved horse riding school where rides can be made. Age-old caves are worth a visit. There is a large market on Monday in Revel and on Saturday in Mirepoix. A special "hippie" market is held in Esperaza on Sundays. The piano museum is located in Limoux. The neighboring village of Montolieu is known throughout France as a book village with many bookshops, a paper mill and a printing museum and several nice restaurants. At 18 km lies the fantastic city of Carcassonne with an 18-hole golf course, many shops, restaurants and squares where you can sit and enjoy the absolute highlight of the historic medieval center called "Cité". There is an airport in Carcassonne where you can practice gliding.
