The house is situated along a quiet street at the edge of the small village of Montlaur. The century-old plane trees in the street provide the necessary shade during the hot, sunny summer months. Across the street you can see the Chateau of Montlaur with its beautiful castle garden.
The small village centre is a 5 minute walk away. Here you will find a supermarket, a butcher, a pharmacist and some wineries. Since the summer of '21, there is also a super nice bistro in the village, just a few minutes walk from the house. Bistro & wine bar Vins-de-Dagne
During the summer months, there is a weekly market on the village square on Tuesdays. Here you can buy all kinds of local specialities.

Genoten van 2 weken in Montlaur. De villa is prachtig en voorzien van alle gemak. De weg ernaartoe is al een cadeautje. Het dorpje heerlijk Frans met vriendelijke inwoners. Mooie uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes naar de Middellandse Zee en de Pyreneeën. En erg prettig contact met Tine. Aanrader!

Prachtige villa met mooie tuin en fijn zwembad. Gelegen in een mooi, rustig dorp met veel bezienswaardigheden en activiteiten in de nabije omgeving. Zeer prettig verblijf gehad. Contact met Tine verliep prima.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à la Villalaur.
La villa est agréable a vivre, fonctionnelle et très bien équipée.
Excellent contact avec Tine, la propriétaire qui répond très rapidement aux messages et réagit très vite en cas de besoin.

The house is located in Montlaur. This village is situated in a valley, surrounded by vineyards.
In and around the village you will find dozens of wine makers, where you can buy wine on the spot.
Within a radius of 15km there are several restaurants, in different price ranges.
Activities
Even before you reach the house, you will see the spectacular landscape of the Aude. This is the region in which Montlaur is situated. It is an exeptional part of the famous Languedoc, at a short distance from the airport of Carcassonne. It is a beautiful trip along the valleys and many vineyards.
