The house
A part, completely private and with separate entrance, of an old wine estate is at your disposal. An apartment of 80m2 on the first floor, without upstairs or downstairs neighbours.
The house, with air conditioning, has a fully equipped kitchen with all modern appliances, dining/sitting area, living room, WC, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The decoration is cosily modern while respecting some authentic elements. A private terrace without overlooking. A quality renovation spring 2018!
All this in part of an old wine estate surrounded by a large shady park. Tranquillity, warm welcome, discretion. Wifi available throughout the house and patio ( high flow rate). Located on the edge of a quiet, beautiful, small southern French village with playground, local pub, basketball court, park, post office and bread collection point. Domaine Le Piboul is located in Fontcouverte, a small village in the south of France, in the department of Aude and the region of Occitanie (Languedoc-Roussilon).
You will find a post office, a café, a small grocery shop, a bread collection point and the weekly fruit and vegetable market, Thursday pizza. During the summer months there are weekly village activities.
Supermarket chains, pharmacies, doctors, restaurants, bars, a discotheque, a cinema etc. are at 4-7km distance.
The beaches of the Mediterranean Sea, the rivers and lakes provide the necessary refreshment during the beautiful hot summers.
Carcassonne, Narbonne, Béziers (20-30 minutes) and even Toulouse, Montpellier and Perpignan (50-70 minutes) are within easy reach.

We are situated on the border of 2 big wine regions: the Corbières and the Minervois in the Languedoc-Roussilon. if you follow the route '20' (say vin) you will come across a number of wine estates, chateaux, caves where you can taste the wines (for free).
The cuisine is Mediterranean-French/Spanish and the prices are more than correct! A daily menu (3 courses) around 13€ water, wine and coffee included.
Le cassoulet! Les huitres de Leucate! Olives from Olibou! The cheese from chèvres! The miel de garrigue! Full of vegetables!
