The house
"La Grange" , a very spacious holiday home (160m2 spread over 2 floors). Completely renovated and equipped with all modern comforts in 2019! A large living space with open kitchen, 2 bedrooms with private bathroom and 2 bedrooms sharing 1 large bathroom. All this in part of an old wine estate surrounded by a large shady park. Peace, warm welcome, discretion. Wifi available throughout the house and patio (high speed). Located on the edge of a quiet, pretty, small southern French village with playground, local café, basketball court, park, post office and bread collection point. Quick connections to all tourist attractions.

Fontcouverte is a small village in the south of France, located in the department of Aude and the region of Occitanie (Languedoc-Roussilon).
You will find a post office, café, grocery shop, a bread collection point and the weekly fruit and vegetable market, Thursday pizza. During the summer months there are weekly village activities.
Supermarket chains, pharmacies, doctors, restaurants, bars, a discotheque, a cinema etc. are at 4-7 km distance.
The beaches of the Mediterranean Sea, the rivers and lakes provide the necessary refreshment during the beautiful hot summers.
Carcassonne, Narbonne, Béziers (20-30 minutes) and even Toulouse, Montpellier and Perpignan (50-70 minutes) are within easy reach.

La grange est un gîte idéal pour des séjours entre amis avec des enfants. Dans le jardin, ils s amuseront avec un bac à sable, deux toboggans, un trampoline et des jouets pour enfants. L appartement quant à lui est très agréable et spacieux. Nous recommandons.
Restaurants, food & wine
Located in France's largest wine-growing region, on the border of Les Corbieres and le Minervois, sur La route 20 (say vin) with many wine estates, caves and chateaux that one is free to visit and have a drink.
The cuisine is Mediterranean French/Spanish and prices are still very correct. Olives, Honey, fruit and vegetables, cheeses, fresh fish, .... to be enjoyed in the cosy gardens with shade in several restaurants. Menu du midi 13-14€.

Between Mediterranean and mountains, Carcassonne and Narbonne, in the land of the Cathars, on the wine routes of the Corbières and Minervois, the Canal du midi and picturesque southern villages, such as Minerve, Pezenas, Lagrasse, Homps, Bages, Gruissan,Le Somail, etc ..... .
