The house
Le Pont is at the front of the property along side the river with a view of the roman bridge ‘Le Pont Romain’.
This is a two bedroom Gite on one level which can sleep four people.
It comprises:
Sitting/dining area – entry is into this spacious room with a double sofa bed.
Kitchen – leading off from this includes a microwave, four ring gas hob and fridge.
Shower room – consists of a shower, WC, hand basin and a heated towel rail.
Bedroom 1 – is a large double room.
Bedroom 2 – has a large bunk bed.
Outside there is a fully furnished patio with a gas barbecue.

Le Pont is one of 4 self-catering Gites built around an ancient Marble Mill it is the perfect location for those who want to simply unwind & relax or for those looking for a great base to explore the region with its pretty villages & markets, lakes and rivers, the picturesque Canal du Midi, historic Cathar castles, fantastic local wine Domains or beautiful Mediterranean beaches all no more than an hour away.
Twenty minutes from Carcassonne and a ten-minute walk into the historic medieval village of Caunes-Minervois with its Vineyards, Restaurants, Bars and Shops (Supermarket, Butcher, Bakery Pharmacy) & 9th century Abbey as well as a host of local artists, art galleries and artisans it is the perfect place to enjoy all that Aude and the south of France has to offer.

A 10-minute walk to the beautiful medieval village of Caunes-Minervois will take you to a wealth of local restaurants which suit every taste and budget. The local restaurants offer everything from classic French cuisine, Tapas, regional delicacies, and delicious homemade pizzas, all made with fresh seasonal ingredients. Wine domains abound in the area so you can sample many local wines both from Caunes and the wider area.
Activities
Due to our location there are many walking and hiking trails both in the locale and further afield, it is also a popular area for cyclists, motorbike and car clubs. There is a lake for water sports activities within a 30 minute drive and the Mediterranean coast is an hours drive away.

We also hold BBQ & Pizza evenings in the Summer months (June-August) for guests to partake in if they wish (subject to an additional fee). It is usually a very convivial evening where we get to chat to and learn more about our guests and encourages all of our guests to interact.
