The house
Whether in the shade of the arbour, on the patio, on the terrace or in the garden, depending on the time of day, you'll enjoy a moment of relaxation or idleness on your return from a cultural visit or a walk in the region.
The 140 m² house can accommodate up to 4 people. On the ground floor, there is a large living room with a kitchen area and a sitting area with a fireplace. This room communicates with a second lounge equipped with a wood-burning stove and two sofas.
A hallway, shower room and separate toilet complete the ground floor.
Upstairs are two double bedrooms.
The spacious yellow bedroom has a 160x200cm bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a table that can be used as a desk.
The almost equally large shell bedroom has a 160x200cm bed, wardrobe, shower room with walk-in shower and toilet.

There are many restaurants in the surrounding area offering the specialities of the region. Just a 10-minute drive away is the medieval town of Mirepoix, where you'll find a plethora of restaurants offering a wide range of local specialities, including Cassoulet, confit de canard, magret de canard and salade ariègoise. You can also order wines from the region and beyond.
Mirepoix also has two wine bars.
Activities
The gîte is located in the Ariège department, a department known for its natural landscapes, in the Cathar country. The Ariège is also known for its medieval castles, amazing caves, typical villages, lakes and incredible nature spots.
The gîte is located in a small, peaceful village surrounded by rolling countryside, close to hiking trails. Close to the medieval town of Mirepoix. It is a picturesque village known for its Monday market and its beautiful square with covered and half-timbered houses and its summer festivals.
In the region there are plenty of activities to do in the countryside: walking, hiking, cave visits, medieval villages, Cathar castles, swimming and sailing on Lac de Montbel, Parc de la Préhistoire, Château de Foix, Bains du Couloubret, ski slopes 1 hr away.
40 minutes from the Pyrenees, 45 minutes from Carcassonne and 1 hour from Toulouse.
