The house
Sleeping up to 10 people in five comfortable bedrooms, holiday home BelBiarge is a real home away from home, with a large dining room/kitchen on the ground floor, a spacious living room with wood-burning stove and French doors opening onto the shaded terrace.
Upstairs, there are four large bedrooms, three with double beds and one with two single beds. On the ground floor is the fifth bedroom with two spacious single beds.
The house has been lovingly restored and has beautiful original features (such as a Charentaise fireplace and thick stone walls), combined with modern comforts. The house has central heating and a wood-burning stove, making it ideal for both winter and summer rentals.

Holiday home BelBiarge is ideally located in a very quiet hamlet, yet only a short walk away from the village (with bakery, shop and bar-tabac). Very rural and quiet, yet a stone's throw from major access roads. Holiday home BelBiarge has a beautiful garden and a lovely 9x4m private pool for those who want to relax and unwind. For lovers of culture, there are plenty of picturesque local towns and villages nearby, with Romanesque churches and lively markets! For the gourmets among us: there are a number of delicious restaurants within a 15 km radius!
The holiday home is ideally located just 15 minutes from the largest monkey sanctuary in France (La Vallee des Singes), just 40 minutes from the Futuroscope theme park (Poitiers) and an hour and a half's drive to the coast (La Rochelle). So there is a lot to discover in the area.

Werkelijk een heerlijke plek om vakantie te houden. De grote tuin en het keurige zwembad, maar ook de verzorgde keuken, de beide badkamers en de slaapkamers waren prima.
Maar de kroon op de vakantie werd gezet door Mieke. Al direct na de boeking bezig om er voor te zorgen dat alles naar wens zou zijn en het ons aan niets zou ontbreken.
Mieke bedankt, het was geweldig.
Als het niet zo was dat wij vinden dat er meer mooie plekjes zijn in Europa dan vakanties in een mensenleven, en we daarom niet twee keer naar dezekfde plek gaan, zou dit zeker een uitzondering kunnen zijn.Joke, Hans, kinderen en kleinkinderen.
Restaurants, food & wine
A short walk to the village and you will find the local bar-tabac, along with a village shop and bakery. A little further away, within a 15 km radius, you will find a wide choice of restaurants for every taste. Poitiers is a lively city, with small squares and many restaurants, surrounded by beautiful architecture and a wide choice of shops. Besides Poitiers, Angoulême is also worth a visit. Angoulême is a smaller city, but has as diverse a history as Poitiers. Both are worth a visit and are about the same distance from the holiday home.
Activities
There is kayaking and horse riding available a 20-minute drive away, and the quiet country roads and forest trails around the holiday home are ideal for jogging, walking or cycling. A 10-minute drive away, you will find Plan d'Eau de Saint-Macou with the possibility of swimming.

The person making the booking must be one of the persons in the travelling party and must be at least 25 years old (at the time of booking).
The holiday home is located in a very quiet hamlet. We want to respect the sleep of the other residents. Therefore, between 11pm and 7am, loud music, shouting or singing is NOT allowed.
