The house
Luxury Rural Cottage, Heated Pool, Spacious. This cottage/gite is in a rural setting.
This is our third year offering Le Cottage at Chez Penny as holiday accommodation, a recently renovated traditional French farmer’s cottage.
Set in a peaceful rural hamlet, in wonderful countryside with many opportunities for walking, cycling, bird watching or just enjoying the views. Within a short drive you can be in the towns of Confolens, Charroux, Civray and Ruffec. The cities of Angoulême, Poitiers and Limoges are all approximately 60 minutes away.
The Cottage, which is set in 1.5 hectares, has a spacious, open plan area consisting of large kitchen diner and a huge lounge for relaxing on the ground floor.
The spacious bedroom and bathroom are upstairs on the mezzanine which overlooks the lounge.
The cottage is situated in a good 4G mobile phone signal area.
Free wi-fi is available.
Unfortunately we do not accept pets.
Our cottage is for adult couples only. (2 persons max)
Renovated to a high standard with modern comforts, character exposed beams and traditional stone walls.
Outside, there is decked terrace area with table and chairs for a morning coffee and croissant. Dotted around the property and gardens are various tables and chairs for catching some sun or shade.
You have full use of our private pool and rear patio area, to kick back and relax.
We live on site in the cottage next door. We are very discreet.

Wij hebben van een heerlijke vakantie genoten in Penny cottage, gelegen in een zeer rustige omgeving. Het lekkere van deze gite is dat je meerdere buiten zitjes hebt waardoor, indien gewenst, je nog lang van de zon kunt genieten. Het huisje vormt een prima uitvalsbasis voor fietstochten in de omgeving over zeer stille wegen . Aansluitend zorgt een duik in het zwembad, voor de nodige verkoeling. Er zijn hele mooie uitstapjes te maken naar diverse steden in de buurt met nog verschillende bouwwerken uit de Gallische tijd.
Kortom als je een rustige vakantie zoekt met veel privacy, om de batterij weer helemaal op te laden, dan zit je hier gebeiteld!Nancy from Denderhoutem,
Supercottage! Vriendelijke en zeer discrete eigenaars, alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Zeer ruim en superproper. Het zwembad en het ongelooflijke domein zijn een absolute plus. Aanrader!

Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf bij Chez Penny! Ruime woning, prettig bed, keuken van alle gemakken voorzien, heerlijk zwembad en prachtige tuin in een mooie rustige omgeving. Steve en Debbie zijn zeer vriendelijk en ondersteunend zonder zich op te dringen. De honden waren ook heel lief.
