Le Studio at Chateau Mareuil is a charming recent conversion of former goat barn adjacent to the owner's cottage.
It has its own private entrance and sunny courtyard for al fresco living.
The studio comprises a bedroom with kitchenette and separate shower room/wc. A travelcot is available.
Chateau Mareuil is a beautiful medieval castle set high up overlooking the river Asse in the charming rural tranquility of France's Vienne region.

Mareuil sits in it's own domain in a glorious rural setting with pretty fields, sheep, trees, birds and wildlife all around. The chateau has a river running through the grounds to the rear and 800m of private river banks. The chateau has extensive gardens and an exclusive "sky garden" set high amongst trees.

Restaurants, food & wine
Chateau Mareuil is close to the town of Montmorillon, where there are a number of restaurants to choose from, amongst them, "Lucullus" and "Le Romain des Sauveurs". A little further is "Les Orangeries", a Michelin recomended restaurant in Lussac le Chateaux. About 15 minutes away, are more local restaurants, "Le Relais" at St Martin-le-Mault and "Chez ma Pomme" at Tersannes. Most guests opt to eat at least once at the chateau during their stay - a delicious 4 course dinner with wine is available at €39 per head.
Activities
There are lots of country walks all around us, plus we have private river banks to stroll along. There is a separate games room available to you with an American Pool table.

An idyllic, peaceful, historic retreat set in the beautiful French countryside of the Vienne region. We are an easy day's drive away from Belgium and Holland , within an hour of Limoges airport and just over an hour from Poitiers, also easily accessible by road from the English Channel crossings in the North. The beautiful climate means you will be able to take full advantage of the luxury 12m x 6m pool during the Summer months.
