The house
A touch of Ibiza in the French hills. This luxury Ibiza style gite was realised in 2025. The gite has a living/kitchen area with a Mediterranean-style kitchen, 2 stylishly decorated bedrooms with air conditioning, a modern bathroom with walk-in shower and a separate toilet. From the living room and the terrace you have beautiful views of the hills and with a few steps you are at the (heated) swimming pool or sitting by the firebowl for a romantic evening.
On the other side of the property is another gite (for 2 people). If there are guests in that gite, you share the pool with them. Nice and cosy!

The gite is located near Salles in the Lot-et-Garonne, not far from the bastide town of Monflanquin. From Rotterdam you can fly with Transavia in 1 hour and 20 minutes to Bergerac, a 45-minute drive from the gite. The coast near Bordeaux is about 2.5 hours' drive, the city of Bordeaux is 2 hours' drive and it is about 1 hour 45 minutes' drive to (the airport of) Toulouse.

Restaurants, food & wine
You can taste and buy delicious wines from winemakers in the area. Recommended are Chateau Gaudou and Domaine de la Tuquet (organic).
Activities
The Lot-et-Garonne is also called the "Tuscany of France" because of its rolling hills. The gite is part of Les Bouges, a beautifully restored and extended farmhouse from 1903, where the owners live. A 10-minute drive away you will find the beautiful bastide town of Monflanquin and so are more medieval pretty villages to explore in the vicinity, such as Penne d'Agenais and Villeréal. There is a lively market there on Saturday mornings with lots of local produce. The Sunday market in Issigeac, a 35-minute drive away, is also worth a visit.
The area is also great for cycling, mountain biking and hiking. Fans of golf can also enjoy themselves with a number of golf courses in the vicinity at a 20-minute drive from the gite. We have 1 electric men's MBT and 1 electric women's MBT, which you can rent from us, definitely recommended for a half-day or day of relaxation! If you want some swimming water other than the pool, you can go to Lac de Montcuq, about 40 minutes' drive away.

Holidaymakers with an electric car can charge it on site for a fee, Also in nearby Villeréal and in numerous small villages in the area are (paid) charging points for electric cars with charging speeds of up to about 80 km/hour....
