The house
Lasclottes is a 19th century rural riverside farm property with a gîte and annex both of which have been traditionally renovated and luxuriously furnished with an eye for detail.
Upstairs bursts with character, from large beams and oak window seats to exposed stone walls and parquet flooring in all the 4 large upstairs bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have en-suites and the other two bedrooms share a generous size bathroom. Downstairs there is an additional bedroom, with an en-suite shower room and sitting room which forms an annex and has an interconnecting door to the lounge area of the gîte. The furniture has been sympathetically chosen to compliment the era of the house, yet has all the modern facilities to make your holiday truly relaxing.
There is an open plan kitchen/diner/living area and a beautifully restored snug. The patio doors from the living area and the snug open out towards the swimming pool and the land beyond which gently slopes down to the river and two man-made pontoons, one is ideal for relaxing and has spectacular views up towards the Basilica on the hilltop village of Penne d'Agenais and the other is perfect for fishing with the river being over 100m wide at this point.. There is a large swimming pool, alfresco dining and several games areas.
The whole property has been tastefully renovated to a very high standard, from chilling with friends and family to relaxing down by the river or having fun in the pool, we believe that we have created the ultimate holiday experience.

Lasclottes is situated within 5 acres of land which gently slopes down to 150m of river frontage. There are an abundance of fruit and walnut trees, a games area (including Pool, Table Tennis and a Football table), an area to play badminton and another to play pétanque. The views are far reaching up to the hillside Basilica in Penne d'Agenais, surrounded by fields, there are no near neighbours and it is accessed via a private lane. The local town of St Sylvestre is a 10 minute walk away, where there is a colourful Chateau in beautiful grounds it boasts to have the biggest crazy golf in Europe and there are 3 restaurants which cater for all dietary needs. In the centre of the village there is a local supermarket, a restaurant by the river and a variety of shops. For those that crave more activity, the larger town of Villeneuve is a 15 minute drive away, it has a large variety of shops, bars and restaurants, a local market twice a week and music evenings by the river in the summer months.

Fantastisch huis en fantastische hosts. Rustig gelegen aan de Lot en toch redelijk dicht bij bakkers, slagers, restaurants & supermarkten.
Het huis is groot en biedt veel privacy - bijna alle slaapkamers hebben een eigen badkamer of een badkamer die ze maar met één andere kamer moeten delen. Geen airco, maar ook in de zomer blijft het redelijk koel binnen - als je op tijd de luiken sluiten om de hitte binnen te houden. Er zijn verschillende ventilatoren voorzien.
De tuin, het zwembad en de speelhoek laten ook grotere families toe om iedereen zijn ding te laten doen, je hebt nooit het gevoel dat je op elkaar gepakt zit. Bovendien is Sally een zeer goede host, ze doet werkelijk alles om het verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken.
2 minpuntjes:
- Bereid je voor op heel wat venijnige muggen, zeker in de namiddag en avond is muggenspray geen luxe.
- Het is heerlijk samen eten aan de grote tuintafel, maar binnen is er geen eettafel waaraan je heel gezelschap samen kan eten, dan moet je splitsen.Michelle pearce from Plymouth,

There was so much to do around the area as well as on site too. My little boy loved going fishing with his daddy and my little girl loved the pool
The whole environment of the stay was perfect - relaxed atmosphere but close enough to amenities and theme park and water park for the kids too
Sally and Colin made us feel so at home and nothing was too much for them
We’ve rebooked to come back again in august 2022 and can’t wait

A lovely, quiet place to spend a (covid-proof) vacation with family. The kids and adults loved playing in the pool, supping on the river and roaming the grounds. The house is cool and comfortable, and has everything you need to entertain a group of people. The owners, Collin and Sally, are very friendly and helpful. We had a great summer holiday!

Restaurants, food & wine
There are a wide variety of bars and restaurants locally and in the summer months each village holds a night market, which involves lots of eating, drinking and dancing to a live band.
Activities
Lasclottes is a perfect destination for fishing, relaxing or just enjoying nature.
There are markets in most of the villages throughout the year and summer music evenings with food and dancing on the menu.
From beautiful chateaux to theme parks or playing a round of golf the Lot et Garonne has something for everyone.
