The house
Comprising three separate Gites that can all be linked together, so suitable for a larger family group or friends wanting to enjoy a relaxing holiday.
We have three kitchen areas each with microwaves, cookers and hobs, fridges and freezers and dishwashers in the 2 larger gites. Over the whole complex there are three rooms with double beds, one room with twin beds that can be joined to make a double. Another room with twin beds and 3 mezzanine areas with a total of 4 single beds. We can provide cot beds and z-beds if needed. There are showers in each of the 3 bathrooms and the two larger Gites have wood burners for winter evenings.
The Swimming pool is Saltwater and is fully enclosed, so safe for children and there is a large communal hot tub on the communal terrace outside the games room. There are 4+ hectares of parkland and gardens for everyone to enjoy. A smart games room/entertaining space, with pool table, bar and a dart board, outside games include table tennis, a boules court and badminton net. There are tennis courts, a 5 aside football pitch, basket ball courts and a fishing lake at the end of the garden.
We provide barbecues for all three Gites and there are separate eating areas as well as a long communal terrace for when everyone wants to get together.
For younger children we have swings and a slide, a sand pit and play house and out door games.
Set just beneath the picturesque village of Penne d'Agenais it enjoys stunning views of the town and Basilica, and within walking distance of the beautiful river Lot.
5 minutes walk from the local train station. Just 40 minutes from Agen station which is a main stop for trains from Bordeaux, Paris, Toulouse and beyond.
Bordeaux and Toulouse airports are less than 2 hours away and Bergerac airport is only 50 minutes.
Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside yet with lots of interesting things to do from picturesque towns, Markets, historic castles, water sports, fishing, horse riding, cycling, swimming to name but a few.

Wij logeerden net een weekje met drie gezinnen bij Greg en Carly. Wat een heerlijke vakantie! Het domein is een klein paradijs en de gastheer en vrouw zijn geweldig. Ze staan altijd voor je klaar bij vragen en hebben zelfs een leuke wine tasting voor ons georganiseerd op het domein. Ik kan dit verblijf alleen maar aanbevelen.
Restaurants, food & wine
There are several lovely restaurants in Penne d'Agenais including two who cater for vegetarians and one opposite us.
Also during the summer (July and August) there are Gourmand markets most evenings which is a great way to experience local cuisine, local people, dancing and have a great evening.
The day markets offer great food and there are several local vinyards offering great tasting wine at great prices.
We are set in a Bio/organic area so there a lot of local farms and suppliers in the area offering excellent local produce.

Further remarks
Domaine de France is easy to find we are just below the town of Penne d'Agenais, in an area called Ferrie. From either Cahors or Villeneuve Sur Lot take the D661 toward Penne d'Agenais but do not proceed up to Penne d'Agenais itself.
At the round about with the D159 take the turning for Hautefage, signposts for the college Damira Asperti. Follow this road past the lake on your right, the college , tennis courts on your left and the next drive way on your left is the private lane to Domaine de France.
