Experience nature and taste it at the “Falgayras” domain. This domain of 10 ha is located at the end of a dead end on the southern flank in a beautiful valley. You look out over the valley with forests, sunflowers, cornfields, ... The closest neighbors are at a distance of 500m. Privacy is assured.
For those who want to enjoy real tranquility during their vacation. Just time for family and/or friends!

The gîte for two people is located at the back of the domain and is situated in an outbuilding where a plum oven used to be. It has been completely restored and transformed into a comfortable studio with all necessary amenities.
The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, a 4-burner stove with oven, a fridge with freezer, a coffee maker, a toaster and a kettle. There is a separate bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet.
The cottage also has garden furniture and a small private terrace where you can relax in the shade during the day and enjoy a beautiful sunset in the evening.

All this in a beautiful setting with 360 ° beautiful views all around.
In short, here you can enjoy the outdoors, the sun, nature and the rural tranquility and take a dip in the pool in between.

The 10 hectare domain that lies hidden on the southern slope in a small and extremely quiet valley, has a beautifully landscaped park-like garden with beautiful shrubs and rose bushes. Behind the large wooden tobacco barn lies the field with various fruit trees, berry bushes and hop field. Both up and down on the slope is a meadow with wild flowers and orchids. Also on the domain a number of pieces of forest from which you can depart on adventurous walks.

On the other side of the valley is a riding school where you can ride horses.
Nature is overwhelming here. Hilly, rough and rough at the same time. It's not for nothing that the “Lot-et-Garonne” is called the Garden of France or also the French Tuscany. Many old castle towns in the area, such as Pujols, Monflanquin, Penne d'Agenais, Tournon d'Agenais and Villereal.

At 8km from the domain, located in the municipality of Auradou, you have a small village Penne d'Agenais. Here you will find a bakery, a butcher, the post office, a tourist office and a supermarket.
Penne d'Agenais is one of those many picturesque “bastides” in the Lot-et-Garonne.
The region is a real must for hikers, mountain bikers and nature lovers, thanks to the diversity of the landscape (hills, forests, lakes, rivers and prairies).
Penne d’Agenais is located on the River Lot where plenty of water sport activities are possible.
Penne d'Agenais has a train station and is therefore easily accessible by train.
You can fly on:
Bergerac, 50 minutes from Penne d’Agenais.
Toulouse or Bordeaux both approx. 1.5 hours from Penne d’Agenais.

Restaurants, food & wine

This is the tastiest region of France with many culinary restaurants in the immediate area and nice evening markets (July-Aug.) where you can sit comfortably at long tables and enjoy all the goodies from the local 'producteurs' (wine, escargot, foie grass, confit de canard, grilled chicken, etc ..). Mostly with live music.

Every Friday in the neighboring village you can have lunch under the plum trees at the "Musée du Foie Gras", where there is a nice farmers market with, among other things, grilled "poule a la ficelle" (chicken on the string), "magret de canard" (grilled duck breast fillet ), local cheeses, organic vegetables, etc.
If you drive through the landscape, you will see a lot of variety in farms and orchards where apples, pears, peaches and plums are grown, including the famous 'Pruneaux d'Agen'. You will also find a lot of organic vegetables, nuts and delicious honey here.

There are many restaurants to choose from, where excellent food is served for a very reasonable price. The food is usually simple, fresh and delicious. Many of the menus include duck, goose, plums, mushrooms and of course foie gras. There are restaurants in every price range; internationally renowned top restaurants, but also cosy family restaurants where you can eat very well for little money.

Penne d'Agenais is at the crossroads of several famous wine regions such as Bordeaux, St Emillion, Bergerac, Monbazillac, and Cahors. There are numerous winegrowers who will gladly welcome you for a tasting at their Domaine or Chateau.

Activities

The area is ideal for walking or cycling trips and visiting picturesque villages, towns or bastides. A morning to the market, a cave or castle visit, you will find it all in the neighborhood.
The river Lot at 8 km offers all possibilities for swimming, fishing or canoing. A tour with explanation on a flat-bottomed boat is also possible.

On the property itself you can swim, play pétanque, play badminton, play table tennis, walk, ... There are beautiful walking routes for you to explore the beautiful nature around.
In the close proximity you can play tennis, go fishing, and ride horse / pony, do water skiing and much more! For golf lovers there are several 9 and 18 hole golf courses within a radius of 35 km.
In the summer season there are lots of nice flea markets, weekly markets and lively evening markets with live music, where you sit down at long tables and choose various local delicacies yourself. There are various excursions possible in the vicinity if you want to taste some culture as well as nature.
