France, the Limousin. Apart from the pure air and clear starry skies - for which the Limousin is famous - nature exudes tranquillity. A few minutes outside the rural village of Sussac, you will find the former farm of Arc and France. On this hectare-sized piece of land stands a 55-metre longère: a typical French oblong farm from around 1850. The longère has been partially renovated in recent years and now houses two beautiful gîtes. Hiking, cycling, mountain biking... it's all possible directly from the gîte.

Gîte for 2-5 people: L'Écurie
The barn where we built our 2-5 person gîte has served as a horse stable for many decades and is located on the east side of our longère. In this gîte, a first floor has been constructed consisting of old chestnut-wood beams and floorboards. In this way, we have created a spacious holiday home with a ground floor of over 40 m2 and two large bedrooms on the first floor.

We renovated the original elements, such as the oak trusses, the door and window openings and the sometimes one-metre-thick natural stone walls - pierres des champs - as much as possible in the authentic style. Together with the luxurious furnishings, this makes it a very attractive and pleasant holiday home.

On the ground floor you will find the dining and living room, open-plan kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with all the luxury you need: a dishwasher, oven, microwave, large fridge with freezer, hard stone counter top, extractor hood and an induction hob. Things like a coffee machine, blender, kettle and more have also been thought of. In the luxurious bathroom, we have installed a shower and steam room. Besides the hanging toilet, modern vanity unit and designer towel radiator, you won't get cold feet here. Indeed, the underfloor heating ensures a pleasant temperature. The rest of the ground floor is heated by electric heaters.
Upstairs you will find a large bedroom with a 200 x 160 cm bed. This bedroom can also accommodate a baby or cot if desired. The other bedroom has 3 single beds as standard. The owners have a washing machine (+ dryer) which you can use on request.

Outside you have access to a spacious garden which will guarantee your privacy. The parasol and garden furniture are at your disposal! You will enjoy the wide view of the surrounding fields and forests. You can park your car next to the cottage.

In principle, the gîtes are rented out per week in high season. From 3 nights in low season and 4 nights in mid-season is also possible. Arrival and departure days are usually Saturday, but can be deviated from in consultation. Arc en France does not charge for cleaning, energy and tourist tax. Prices quoted include.
