Gite Le Montet

Our Gite is part of Le Montet ( that's the name of the hill on which it is built. We belong to the village of Ladignac Le Long in the middle of the hills of the beautiful Haute Vienne, The Haute Vienne is one of the departments of the Limousin, 30 minutes below the capital Limoges.
The gite has a homely atmosphere, is child-friendly and has a large enclosed garden. Through the garden doors there is a covered terrace with seating. The spacious garden offers both sun and shade spots. Most of the garden is at the back, offering plenty of privacy. There are two sun loungers with cushions, and a garden set with chair cushions, between the trees hangs a hammock to lounge in. The cottage can accommodate 5 adults (5 beds) and a child under 3 years (camp bed), a box bed for child on the landing. ( length 1,60 )

LAYOUT:
The ground floor: consists of an L-shaped lounge/room with a cosy seating area with wood-burning stove, radio, TV. There is reception of all Dutch and foreign channels via "Canal digital".
The open kitchen with large dining table provides a cosy get-together. The kitchen is equipped with fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave and oven (suitable for pizza), pans, double crockery, frying pans, frying pan, colander, double cutlery and various kitchen utensils. The kitchen is divided into a working/cooking and sink area.
In the second room is the electricity supply and boiler located, also here is access to the toilet on the ground floor.
The floor is tiled. In low season, there is a rug in the seating area.
ON THE FLOOR are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed 160 x200, and a single bed. The small room has 2 single beds 90x200 in an L-shape arrangement. On the landing is a box bed suitable for children up to about 8 years (1.60).
For baby or toddler there is furniture such as camping cot, playpen and high chair, toddler toilet seat, potty, stair gates upstairs and downstairs, outdoor toys such as tricycle, tractor, scooter, and walking car.
THE BATHROOM, has a shower with glass door, 2nd toilet, sink and space to store your toiletries and towels.
The floor is laminate.
SMOKING: It is not allowed to smoke inside. Smoking is allowed outside on the covered terrace. Always use an ashtray and do not empty it into the bin until the other day.
There is a washing machine in the cottage

INCLUDED:
Upon arrival there is: toilet paper, washing-up liquid, dishwasher cubes and detergent, (all phosphate free) you do not need to bring this yourself. for first use there is also ready waste bags for residual and plastic waste, dishcloth, pan sponge, and for wiping up all greasy dishes a roll of kitchen paper (in connection with the proper functioning of the septic tank)
THE GARDEN/FARM
Early in the year it's great to start the day outside. In the morning when the sun shines, it already comes out on the covered terrace.
From the 2nd week in June until about the 3rd week of September, the swimming pool can be used by all guests, it is not heated. There is a climbing and clambering apparatus for the youngest guests and from June to mid-September the trampoline is also set up. If you book the May holiday, for example, it is possible to put up the trampoline earlier by mutual arrangement.

WIFI: There is fibre optic available.
VEGETABLE GARDEN/HERB GARDEN
We have our own vegetable garden with garden herbs. If you need herbs for a dish, feel free to pick some. (high season)
STAY IN LOW SEASON
In the period from 1 November to 1 April we may be carrying out maintenance on the Gite and the farm, for this reason the Gite may be closed on the availability calendar. Of course, renting the house/Gite is always negotiable, ask for the possibilities, this is always without obligation.
Who knows, see you in 2026, has, you can already take an option without obligation, in January you decide only. Feel free to ask about the possibilities.
