The house
Gîte Uni-Vert "together in the green" for 10 people and 2 babies
Stay from 2025 in our beautifully renovated barn with exposed beams and beautiful old details, all the woodwork is self-made from trees from our own forest. We have chosen a rustic industrial decor with brocante accessories that we have taken great pleasure in finding together. Welcome to the comfortable living space with sturdy wood-burning stove. A cosy sitting area with smart TV, a long table where delicious meals can be enjoyed and an open kitchen with all modern appliances behind a bar of authentic green tiles. A pool table from a French café, dartboard and children's corner with toys.
In total there are 4 spacious bedrooms with 4 beds of 1.60 x 2m (they can be separated) and 2 beds of 0.80 x 2m. A spacious en-suite bathroom with separate bath, cabin with massage shower, washbasin and toilet. A second bathroom, with large walk-in shower, washbasin and a separate toilet are located behind the kitchen. Through the French doors you enter the terrace with stunning views to the rear and the swimming pool with lounge area and sunbeds. At the front of the cottage is a large garden table, bbq and the children can play in the playground. Wifi and firewood are included in the price. A baby kit can be optionally booked as well as a meal on your arrival day. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

In the Limousin, the green heart of France a stone's throw from the Dordogne, Coussac-Bonneval is located on the "Route Richard Cœur de Lion" which takes you past beautiful villages and castles through a lovely rolling landscape.
The gîte is 3 minutes from the cosy village of Coussac-Bonneval with bakers, butcher, restaurants, fishing lake and an impressive castle. At 10 minutes is the town of Saint-Yrieix la Perche for supermarkets and indoor swimming pool but also the weekly market and shops in the picturesque medieval centre. 15 minutes away is one of France's most beautiful villages, Ségur le Château, with festive events and a night market by the river. Cities of Limoges, Brive and Périgueux are 30 - 45 minutes' drive from Coussac-Bonneval and well worth a visit.

Restaurants, food & wine
Enjoy French cuisine with or without a Michelin star! At lunchtime, enjoy a traditional "plat du jour" or prefer just a sandwich on one of the many terraces with beautiful views. In summer, you can taste local products at an evening market or fish trout together in the fishing lake and prepare them on the BBQ. For meat lovers, there is a very good butcher in the village.
Activities
Beautiful gîte in the middle of the green and yet close to everything. Here you wake up to birdsong and fresh croissants from the baker; you can't get a better start to your holiday day!
At the cottage you can play and cool off in the pool. We, Rob and Vivian, can tell you everything about the region and point out the most beautiful spots and activities. In the immediate surroundings, you can go hiking, cycling, swimming and horse riding. Especially for children, there is a weekly princess & knight tour in the castle "Château de Bonneval". Canoeing and fishing are possible nearby and at large lakes they have inflatable play equipment in the water in summer.
Beautiful festivals, events and brocantes are held in the village and nearby. Every Tuesday and Friday evening, the farm shop at "La Tournerie", 3 minutes from the gîte, is open with, among other things, bread from the traditional bread oven, seasonal vegetables and their own beer.
Shopping or sitting on a terrace is possible in the cosy town of Saint-Yrieix la Perche, 10 minutes' drive away, or in one of the impressive cities of Limoges, Brive or Périgieux.

Further remarks
We are currently working hard on a terrace and pool at the gîte with as much attention as the interior. On the photo you can get an impression, we expect to be ready in spring and will put new photos online as soon as possible.
