This traditional French cottage dates back to around 250 years old. It has thick stone walls which keep it cool in the summer and retain heat during the cooler months. We are located next to the Etang de Cieux, a fishing lake, which runs its overflow stream just at the bottom of the terrace.
The cosy, yet open plan living, dining and kitchen area means that cooking and eating is a sociable occasion. And the terrace, a suntrap in the summer months, is another area to enjoy each other's company.
Upstairs you will find the master bedroom and one other double bedroom, both cosy and inviting. You will also find the shower room on this floor too. There is another toilet downstairs.
Cieux is a beautiful, quiet rural French village within easy reach of larger towns such as Bellac and St Junien for shopping, yet Cieux retains its peaceful character of a sleepy French village.

The gite is located within walking distance of the Etang de Cieux, a sport fishing lake. Fishing permits can be obtained within the village.
Cieux is in the heart of the Monts de Blond, an area of natural beauty and there are many hiking and cycling trails.
Cieux is within 30 minutes drive of Lac de St Pardoux, with 3 beaches, watersports, boating, fishing and more walking and cycling trails.
