The house
Gîte Le Trincou is a lovely, spacious holiday home for up to 6 people. It is a charming property located in oldest part of La Verte, an estate from the 17th century. Gite Le Trincou offers a lot of privacy.
La Verte has a 1-hectare garden with a shared swimming pool and lovely loungers.
Living room and kitchen
The entrance is via the gite's terrace. Here is a spacious cosy living room with fully equipped kitchen (including oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer). The living room has a large fireplace with wood-burning stove.
Terrace
The adjoining terrace has beautiful views of the valley of the little river Trincou. Next to the terrace is the garden (private for guests of Le Trincou) where you can sit in the sun or shade. On the terrace is a large table with chairs, in the garden are sun loungers to enjoy rustling and space. Also on the first floor are the bathroom with two sinks and large walk-in shower and a separate toilet. Also on the first floor is a bedroom with double bed (160 x 200) and a second bathroom with walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet.
Upstairs
Upstairs is another bedroom with two single beds (90 x 200). The room has an authentic atmosphere thanks to the thick wooden roof beams.
Third bedroom
On the ground floor is the very spacious third bedroom of "Le Trincou". Here you will find a double bed (160 x 200).
The gîte is very cosy with wooden floors, thick beams, fireplaces and the pierres apparentes (stone walls).

La Verte is surrounded by a beautiful hilly landscape with woods and fields. It is situated close to the village of Villars. Just on the other side of the hill are the caves of Villars. The largest stalactite caves of France with prehistoric drawings.
Nearby are the villages Brantôme, Bourdeilles and St-Jean-de-Cole that are certainly worth visiting. Périgueux, the capital of the Dordogne, is 45 km away.
La Verte is quietly situated in the hamlet Laschenaud on the edge of the forest.

Een pareltje in de Dordogne.
Wat een super plek is dit. Alles maar dan ook alles klopte. Mooi huisje met alles erin en erbij om een top vakantie te hebben. Lekker zwembad mooie rustige omgeving en last but not least een bijzondere fijne gastheer en vrouw. Je merkt aan alles dat Corine en Arthur hun werk met aandacht en passie doen en stemde ze heel goed af op onze individuele vragen. Door dit alles hebben wij hier een top vakantie gehad. Kortom we hebben in dit pareltje even kunnen leven als een god in Frankrijk.Frans en Annemarie from Hellevoetsluis,
Wat een prachtig domein en gastvrije ontvangst door Arthur en Corine. Mooie omgeving om te wandelen en leuke dorpjes om te bezoeken. Prachtig zwembad (vanwege het iets te koude weer te weinig van kunnen genieten). In La Petite Verte zit je midden in de natuur. Wij vonden het geweldig. Dank Arthur en Corine!

Wat een geweldige locatie! In een prachtige omgeving met leuke dorpen op fietsafstand maar toch weg van de drukte. Prachtig wandelgebied ook met veel uitgezette routes.
En niet te vergeten de grote gastvrijheid van Arthur en Corine met veel leuke tips over o.a. de heerlijkste restaurants in de omgeving. Superlekker gegeten!
Wij verbleven in La Petite Verte. Een heerlijk klein, knus en gezellig huisje van alle gemakken voorzien. Daar omheen een prachtige tuin met heerlijk zwembad.
Kortom, een paradijsje om te onthouden!

The Périgord (is the old name for the Dordogne department) is a culinary region. The Bergerac wines such as Pécharment and Monbazillac and the local products (nuts, truffles, duck) guarantee tasty local cuisine.
Nearby are restaurants everywhere to try this cuisine.
Activities
The immediate surroundings of La Verte offer attractive activities and attractions such as canoeing, horse riding, golf, rock climbing and cycling. There are many marked hiking trails. One of them even runs alongside La Verte.
A 15-minute drive away is the swimming lake of St-Saud, with a beautiful, guarded sandy beach.
Nothing like strolling around a French market. There are markets everywhere nearby. Brantôme on Friday, Nontron on Saturday, etc.
All sorts of activities are organised in the area: festivals, concerts and not forgetting the "brocantes" (antique markets).
La Verte is a small-scale holiday domain. Each accommodation at La Verte has its own terrace. The houses and rooms are far enough apart to enjoy your privacy. In addition, there are seats on the grounds to relax. There is also a swimming pool to freshen up.
