The house
Le Monde is a spacious gite of no less than 100 m2, sleeping four people. The living room has a complete luxury fitted kitchen and, in colder weather, it is cosy to sit around the wood-burning stove. Of course, there is central heating.
The kitchen is equipped with a hob, oven, dishwasher, extractor hood, combi microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, nespresso machine and filter coffee maker.
The two spacious bedrooms have lovely box-spring beds for a total of 4 persons. If necessary, an extra bed can be added. The bathroom has a shower, washbasin and toilet. The holiday home has two terraces: the largest is covered and shaded, the other is for sunbathers and has a BBQ.
Le Monde and La Terre can be combined to form a spacious holiday home for six people with two bathrooms.
It is possible to separate the beds in one of the bedrooms, if desired. An extra bed can also be added in this bedroom.

Within walking distance of the picturesque Sainte Alvere with its beautiful church and keep. This lively village has several restaurants, a bar-tabac, a supermarket, a tourist office, several shops, terraces and two bakeries. On the medical front, there is a GP group, dentists, physio and a modern pharmacy.

Perigord has one of the best cuisines in France. Famous for Foie Gras, confit de canard and truffles ! Around Bergerac (25 minutes) you will find a large wine region, with for example the Pecharmant wines, and everywhere with excellent wineries including the world-famous Chateau Monbazillac.
Activities
The Perigord Noir: the region of 1001 castles, with numerous charming towns with terraces, tasty restaurants, cosy markets and famous caves. Domaine la Borniotte is the ideal destination for those seeking peace and quiet as well as active holidaymakers.
It is wonderful to stroll through the many medieval towns. Visit for example Sarlat, Périgueux, Domme, Limeuil or Trémolat. Our own Sainte-Alvère is famous for its truffle market. Or follow the gourmet wine route through Bergerac, passing over 130 vineyards and wineries
The region has many imposing 'knight's castles'. For example, Chateau Beynac, Chateau Castelnaud, Chateau de Hautefort, le Domaine de Campagne and Chateau de Losse are well worth a visit. Also special: chateau des Milandes, where Josephine Baker lived for twenty years.
There is also more than enough to do for active holidaymakers. Canoeing on the Dordogne or the Vézère, beautiful walks and MTB routes, hitting a ball on one of the four golf courses nearby: it's all possible. Just 10 minutes away you will find Aquatic Lagoon swimming paradise.
Beneath the already beautiful landscape you will also find beautiful caves, not infrequently of priceless prehistoric value. Think of the world-famous Lascaux caves, but also the Grotte du Grand Roc, the Grotte de Font-de-Gaume and the Gouffre de Proumeyssac
