The house
We have recently renovated this beautifully furnished accommodation in a more than 200 year old farmhouse using natural materials and colours. The flat is located on a hill near the Vèzére Valley, a popular holiday region because of its natural beauty. The numerous archaeological sites and caves of the Vèzére Valley are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Children are very welcome here. Seating is available in the garden. Internet is available. You can do your laundry here for €3. The tourist tax of 61 cents per person is compulsory. Shops about 9 km away (Le Bugue, Rouffignac). The national prehistoric museum and e.g. canoe trips in Les Eyzies are approx. 8 km away. You have access to the beautiful meadow and our shady deciduous forest. The house has a small traditional vegetable garden and, as a highlight, a large flower meadow with thousands of orchids, which is home to many insects and bird species. The evening cricket concert and a mostly starry sky offer unforgettable celestial relaxation. We endeavour to make the habitat as natural as possible.

The Dordogne department is located in the south-west of France between Bordeaux and the Massif Central. This popular holiday region is characterised by its scenic beauty, well-preserved architectural sights and is home to numerous world-class archaeological sites. The 147 prehistoric sites and 25 decorated caves in the Vézère Valley have been protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. In addition to the Lascaux cave with its Neolithic cave paintings, the Stone Age finds of Neanderthals and Cro-Magnon man in particular attract many tourists. In 1896, one of the world's most important finds from the Stone Age, the Neanderthal burial site at La Ferrasse, was discovered on the territory of our municipality.
The numerous castles and châteaux are well worth a visit, some rivers can be explored by canoe and well-preserved old houses characterise the landscape. The Perigord region is also famous for its black truffles, which are among the most expensive in the world. The cultivation of walnuts, the harvesting of sweet chestnuts and the production of goat's cheese, as well as foie gras, are other well-known branches of production.
