The house
The gîte, named after the famous painter, is very comfortable and fully equipped.
The decoration is a charming mix of brocante, genuine antiques and design, art and ceramics.
With a glass of wine on the terrace, a book from our well-stocked library in your hand or checking your email - Wifi on the entire property - under a sun-drenched sky or just in the shade, you will find the tranquillity of a well-earned holiday or continue to work relaxed in a different environment.
Picasso is a former tobacco barn, now a gîte (2013) suitable for 4/5 people.
The ground floor (75 m²) is a beautiful open space with large windows.
Central is a spacious table for 8 people. In the kitchen, where nothing is missing, extensive cooking can be done.
By appointment, you can dine with us every day (menu from €25), breakfast is also possible. La Cuisine de Marianne provides a culinary surprise.
There is coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, herbs and spices (fresh!), kitchen textiles and cleaning products and a dishwasher.
Downstairs is also the spacious bathroom with toilet, shower, designer sink and washing machine.
Towels and dressing gowns are included.
For the fresher days in the early and late season, there is a fantastic wood-burning stove.
This cottage can also be rented during the Christmas holidays, as it is very well insulated.
Upstairs are two spacious mezzanines on either side of the property. The space between the mezzanines has been left open, providing wonderful acoustics. Ideal for musicians. There is a piano.
The mezzanine on the left is a charming bedroom with a lovely double bed (1.60 x 2.00).
The mezzanine on the right has twin beds (which can also be made up for two on request). An extra bed can be added.
The rear garden has a large table, parasol and a fixed barbecue. In our garden you will also find the large saltwater swimming pool.
In the farm (van Gogh) is also a wing which can be used by mutual agreement.
It is also possible to rent an extra room in the farmhouse. We have a 2nd gîte Monet, suitable for 2 to 3 persons. See our website, also for reviews.

In the heart of the Périgord Noir, between Belvès and Monpazier, lies our paradise. In the rolling landscape surrounded by farmland and forests, we offer an unforgettable stay in one of our gites. The 4 hectares of landscape park with pigeonnier, orchard, special trees, flower beds, the wonderful salt water swimming pool (14 x 5 mt), the various terraces, the lounge bed, the courtyard, the chapel, the peace and quiet and the space - all this invites to a relaxing, beneficial holiday.

Visit one of the many local markets and sample fresh produce from the region.
The Périgord is famous for its culinary traditions. Confit de canard, foie gras, cèpes, truffles, walnuts, the most delicious strawberries and the sweetest honey.
Taste a white dessert wine (Monbazillac) in one of the chateaux around Bergerac or taste a heavy, red wine, almost deep purple in colour, in Cahors.
In the area, numerous restaurants for every taste and price. Also famous are the night markets where you eat local dishes (bring your own crockery/cutlery).
But you can also have a delicious meal with us: La cuisine de Marianne: breakfast can be provided on request. And if you don't feel like cooking, you can have dinner with us. As much as possible from our own vegetable garden and orchard. We offer various menus at reasonable prices.
La cuisine de Marianne organises themed dinners a few times a year.
Activities
Within half an hour's drive you will find the villages of Belves, Monpazier, Villereal, Villefranche-du-Périgord, Beaumont and Monflanquin. These so-called bastides are among the most picturesque villages in France. Also visit Sarlat with its rich history, Bergerac and Cahors.
Be surprised in one of the many galleries, marvel at the murals in the prehistoric caves in e.g. Les Eyzies. Castles too many to visit in one holiday.
Take a balloon flight, go canoeing on the Dordogne or Vézère, go fishing, hiking, cycling, golfing, jump on a horse, relax on a terrace or just lazily stay at home beside the pool. Dine in one of the many restaurants or at our place. La Cuisine de Marianne is an all-rounder and cooks delicious meals!
And after dinner, go game hunting and stargazing!
In the house we have a folder for you with all possible information on the various tourist and cultural possibilities in the area.
There is also a recent list of all possible markets: weekly markets, culinary evening markets, vide greniers, concerts,
brocante and antique markets, the book market, etc.

We can provide various courses for you. Feel free to inquire about the various possibilities. Cooking lessons, a painting or watercolour week, a choir week, yoga,
French for beginners and advanced students, the children's workshop, piano and singing lessons.
All in cooperation with artists, musicians and qualified teachers from the area. We also organise lectures and concerts.

Marianne is een hartelijke gastvrouw die hospitality hoog in het vaandel heeft. Prachtige gites in een natuurlijke maar ook oorspronkelijke omgeving. Hier kom je tot rust maar verder is er genoeg te beleven in de directe omgeving.
