A wonderful holiday in the most beautiful part of France...
Our stylish country house with heated private swimming pool and internet connection in Dordogne France, suitable for 6 people plus a baby (Périgord Noir) - Lots of privacy - Very large covered terrace.
This very comfortable house is located in one of the most beautiful areas of the Dordogne, the Périgord Noir. Near well known castles (Castelnaud, Chateau des Milandes, Beynac), the river Dordogne ( with canoeing as most important activity), caves (Gouffre de Padirac, Gouffre de Proumeyssac, Lascaux II, ) beautiful nature and a pretty old town.
The house has all modern comforts. It has three large bedrooms and a mezzanine with extra sofa bed, three bathrooms, satellite television and DVD player, ADSL and wireless internet. Plus a very large fridge, freezer, washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. The kitchen is fully equipped.
The house is suitable for six adults and one baby ( children's cot and high chair available). We will make sure all the beds are made upon arrival. So you do not have to bring your own bed linen.
The spacious garden (2000m2) with magnificent vistas has a heated swimming pool measuring 9 x 4 metres (in use from 1 st of May till the end of October), a large terrace with luxury sun beds, a large covered veranda with Weber BBQ and lounge corner. Lot of privacy. Plus there are a trampoline, swing, dartboard, table football game, table tennis table and pool billiards. The house is completely double glazed and has central heating. So also in Spring and Autumn it is a comfortable house to enjoy. It is about 5 hours driving from Paris.
Change over day is Sunday. Sunday is a quiet travel day. In France you are welcomed by Susie and/or Matthew. They maintain the garden and swimming pool for us. They also make sure you will arrive in a clean house with made beds.

The house is located is the most beautiful part of the Perigord Noir. The house has very pretty views and a garden full of fruit trees. At 900 metres is the village of St Laurent la Vallee and at eight kilometres is picturesque Belves. From the house you can follow a number of walking routes.

Beste Richard en Liesbeth,
We hebben een heerlijke 2 weken gehad in jullie fijne huis in de Dordogne. Het huis ligt op een hele mooie en rustige locatie, met gelukkig ook genoeg activiteiten in de prachtige omgeving (kanoën, klimparken, dorpjes).
Met het warme weer hebben we elke middag kunnen genieten van het zwembad en ‘s avonds hebben we elke avond van het mooie uitzicht over de vallei kunnen genieten!
Het was ons een genoegen! Dank jullie wel voor de hartelijke ontvangst!

Vorig jaar hebben wij met 6 man 1 week in het huis van Richard en Liesbeth gezeten. En werkelijk alles was perfect geregeld! Richard reageert direct op de berichten, zeker omdat er wat onzekerheden waren rond Corona gaf dat een goed gevoel.
Het huis zelf is werkelijk fantastisch, het ligt op een heuvel met prachtig uitzicht, de overkapte buiten ruimte is ook een geweldige toevoeging! En in de omgeving is genoeg te doen en te zien.
Alles is aanwezig, grote ijskasten, wasmachines, perfecte BBQ. Ik kan iedereen aanraden hier te verblijven!
Wij gaan dit jaar met 1 man meer op vakantie, dus helaas dit jaar niet in het huis van Richard en Liesbeth, maar wij keren zeker nog eens terug!Mvg Lodewijk.

Restaurants, food & wine
The village of St Laurent La Vallée has a small restaurant, Le Bistro. The cook is a local and creates the most wonderful local dishes. In nearby St.Pompon you will find another decent restaurant (at about five kilometres). And you can eat very well at L'envers in Belves and really excellent at Le Viex Logies in Tremolat.
Activities
The house has of course the heated swimming pool, pool billiards table, a table tennis table, dart board, table football game, swings and a large trampoline.
Near Sarlat are a number of nice ropes course parks. Really fun for children. Horse riding is possible near Le Coux at 15 minutes driving. Golf can be played 10 minutes driving away. Lolivari is an 18 holes course. Near Siorac and Perigord is a nine holes course, which is just as much fun.
