The house
La Tour is a 2-bed gîte with two floors.
The ground floor consists of one room where the sitting, dining and kitchen area are located. There are two armchairs with table and lamp and a dining table with two chairs. The kitchen is simply but efficiently furnished and very suitable for preparing breakfast, lunch and simple evening meals. You have views of the garden and swimming pool.
On the 1st floor you will find the bedroom with a 200 x 160 double box spring, a wardrobe and the bathroom. The bathroom has a sink, shower and toilet. The sink and the cupboard underneath offer plenty of space for storing your toiletries.

Our house is in a beautiful, quiet spot in the Perigord Pourpre, the southwestern part of the Dordogne. It is a lovely, hilly wine region with the town of Bergerac at its centre.
Our home has two guesthouses and La Tour is one of them. The second guesthouse is Le Studio, information on which can be found elsewhere on this site. The two guesthouses have their own entrance and are completely private.
You can make beautiful trips by car, bicycle or on foot. There are numerous medieval bastide towns, such as Eymet, Issigeac and Monflanquin with their colourful weekly markets and restaurants, and impressive castles.
Also highly recommended is the beautiful city of Bordeaux, which can be reached by train or car within 2 hours.
And then, of course, there are the Routes des Vins, the wine tours with their many chateaus....

The Perigord Pourpre is a wine region par excellence. Close by, for instance, is the famous Chateau Monbazillac, whose elegant silhouette towers above a sea of vineyards. The wine region around Bergerac stretches over almost 130 km2 and is crossed by the Dordogne river.
Activities
In the large garden you can do nothing, there are plenty of places, both sunny and shady, where you can retreat. The large 11 x 5 m pool offers coolness on hot days. There are sun loungers and parasols and from this spot there are beautiful views of the surrounding area.
