A couples retreat and romantic escape. Everything has been built and created to ensure you have a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay.
The barn, formerly used for drying tobacco dates back to 1798. It oozes charm and character with its huge oak beams and exposed stone walls. The thick stone walls keep the property cool during those warm summer days.
Tastefully furnished throughout with all the comforts you would expect.
There is an open plan living area and dinning area. The property has complimentary Wi-fi, games, books, cards and both British and French TV channels.
A complimentary food basket offers you quality provisions for a light supper on your arrival day with a bottle of wine. Your first breakfast is also complimentary with a basket being delivered to your door or patio at a time to suit you.
The bathroom and kitchen are appointed to a high standard. Linen is provided throughout your stay.

Located in the northern Dordogne with stunning open views where deer can be seen grazing in the meadows, our location is truly idyllic. We are nestled in the Perigord Vert Limousin National Park with an abundance of wonderful sights to see and activities to do in the local area. We really are a destination where you can choose to do as much or as little as you wish....
We have a mobile boulangerie for your fresh baguettes, croissants, pain au chocolat or pain au raison just 15 minutes walk away. We are 5 minutes walk away from Chateau de Beauvais which is open to visitors during August.
Our local brasserie will deliver to the property and there are 3 highly recommended restaurants within 10-20 minutes drive away. We are very lucky to enjoy two Michelin star restaurants, 20 and 30 minutes away if you are looking for a special treat.
We can arrange the delivery of breakfast baskets each morning and supper options are available by prior arrangement.
Our nearest town is just 10 minutes drive and offers supermarkets, banks, petrol stations, chemist, tourist information, brasseries and is famous for hand crafted knives dating back many years. There is an annual knife festival in early August each year. There are night markets in the town during peak season, a wonderful way to mix with locals and tourists alike whilst enjoying some local produce on a warm balmy evening. There is a weekly food market on Saturday mornings.
The walking and cycling opportunities from the property are endless and we have spotted pine marten, deer, boar, foxes and many types of birds of prey quite regularly.
The stars are a sight to behold and we can see the Milky way from our garden; stargazing with a nice glass of wine listening to the wildlife is a joy. You benefit from a private candlelit seating area.

A boulangerie station is located 15 minutes walk from the property offering fresh baguettes, croissants, pain au chocolat and pain au raisin.
There are a number of boulangerie's in our nearest town 10 minutes away too.
This region is famous for duck, walnuts, goats cheese, foie gras and the Perigord black truffle.
We grow our own organic fruit and vegetables and make our own pererves. When we have a good harvets guests will benefit from some garden delights!
There is an excellent wine shop in our nearest town and if you wish to visit a vineyard you can do so in Cognac or Bergerac.,
With a BBQ for guests at the property many guests love to make purchases from the local markets and enjoy back at the property overlooking wonderful views.
Activities
Massages, meditation, yoga and Tai Chi are bookable services available at the property for an extra charge. Swimming, table tennis, badminton and petanque are available free of charge.
Canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, bike hire, fishing, walking, French markets, nights markets during the summer, river jousting, archery and so much more available near by in the local area. Canoeing and paddle boarding are complimentary at a beautiful lake beach 15 minutes from the property.
